@Defender1978: Don't like the Wii U pad? Use the Pro controller. Don't like that? Use the Wii mote. Don't like that? Use the Wii Classic. Want to use your nes classic or snes classic controller with classic games without having to have a Switch subscription so you can drop 60 dollars for nes controllers? Then just plug your nes or snes classic controller into the Wii mote and play classic games to your hearts content. In many ways the Switch is currently inferior to the Wii U.

@doctor_mg: I have Xenoblade Chonicles and Chronicles X on the Wii U. Part 2 does look good, but not enough to justify the console. Beat Odyssey. Not interested in Ocotopath, Fire Emblem, new Yoshi or Kirby. Tennis is on Wii U. Mario Party 10 is on Wii U as well as older ones. Splatoon is on Wii U and the sequel is close to the original. Don't want Rabbids. Super Smash Bros is on Wii U. Don't care about more characters and stages on Switch for 60 more dollars. Luigi's Mansions caught my eye. Will probably come out in 2 years.

@doctor_mg: I suppose if I owned a Wii U console and nothing else, the Switch would be a no brainer for me to upgrade to. However, my "objective analysis" is that I bought a Switch, beat Super Mario Odyssey and sold the console because there aren't any other quality Nintendo games on the console that I don't already own on the Wii U. I don't game on the go much, but my "New" 3ds and PS Vita are still awesome too. Everything else the Switch offers I can get on my PC, Xbox One, or PS4. My Switch collected dust for a year while waiting for something good to come out. Now, when Bayonetta 3 and the new Metroid Prime and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 come out that will likely change. Still, the Wii U is an underrated console. Nintendo should be thankful for consumers like me, without us there would likely be no Switch.

You know. If they have such a problem with modified hardware then the next law that needs to be passed is more consumer rights to digital software. If someone bought 200 games on the Wii digitally from the Wii Shop on Jan 30th that person will no longer be able to download those games. If that particular console breaks then the games are gone. Manufacturers such as Nintendo like to whine about pirates, but make no effort for legit customers to keep their games. If you bought the games on the Wii and want them on the Wii U you have to buy them again (even if they are discounted prices). None of the digital purchases made on the Wii U carry over to the Switch. Same with Sony.
