Of course they didn't. Everyone saw the word "misogyny" in the summary portion and immediately got defensive. It amazes me every time how people like to deny that a problem could possibly exists in our perfect society that certainly doesn't favor straight, white men above all others.[QUOTE="Guppy507"][QUOTE="cakeorrdeath"]Did anyone bother to read the text of the review? You know where the informative stuff is? You should be able to tell from this what the issues a reviewer had with the game are and make and informed decision on whether those issues matter to you. Whether you agree with a score is somewhat irrelevant as long as you can determin from the review whether or not you are going to like a game.finalfantasy94
GTA has been around for years and this "negative point" has never been brought up in a review but for some reason theres been a mental disease going around causing a white knight mentality. Its rather annoying. It happen with dragons crown as well.
It's because the nature of reviews is changing. They used to be purely mechanical (does this game function properly, do the controls work, etc). Now, as games are being taken more seriously, reviews are dipping into actual criticism and a more subjective approach. Besides, only a very small section of the review was devoted to that particular criticism. Don't want to hear her opinion of that small aspect of the game, skip those two paragraphs. It's not like it impacted the score or overall tone of the review in a significant way.
