It's kind of a headscratcher that it feels like the main gripe in this review is the characters, while over at IGN, and other places, the characters are put forth as one of the biggest positives. Opinions, I suppose. Everyone seems to be giving this game an 8 regardless. Whatever. Good to see a good FF game again.

@Spartan_418: That's why you should never buy a game without waiting until others have bought it. There is no excuse for buying an unfinished game. You should know before you buy. It's easy, if you have some patience, to do a little research first.

Coming along nicely. Yes, this game was released too early. And yes, they talked about it too much. And yes, giving it time is kind of annoying. But in the end, we're getting a solid game. Everyone in here talking garbage is likely a walking-garbage-talking-robot. I can only assume the majority of you are upset by some aspect of your lives, and choose to take it out on this little dev team with huge aspirations and too little PR experience. Get over your pettiness. Give these guys (Sean Murray and the rest of Hello Games) a break. They're getting it done, little by little. They never gave up hope. There is a lesson to be learned here.
