@sabretooth2066 @TheJackFunk Or it could be she just doesn't find them enjoyable. You don't have to be a lesbian to enjoy the story of Gone Home. I know lots of guys who enjoyed it. I liked the story myself, but I did find it a little boring as a game. That being said, I find GTA IV a very dull game. Talk about repetitive action and boring driving. I can't get myself to finish GTA IV since I have so many things I rather play. I'd give that a 5 (an OK game, but I could take it or leave it).

@LtReviews @RoGar-MFL @rclark04 On that point I agree. I like when a review describes the mechanics of the game, what the player does, etc, to help me decide if the game is for me. There are many sites that focus on how the reviewer feels about the game (Rock, Paper Shotgun; Quarter To Three). I still like reading those reviews because the writing is done well (especially Qt3) and kind of give you an idea about the soul of the game, but they usually skimp on details that help me decide for myself. I write reviews for my own site where I tend to focus more on the games mechanics with some of my opinions thrown in for good measure. I tend to ficus on strategy games though.

@bahamutdragons @rclark04 Point taken, as long as it is done in a respectful way.

People focus too much on the score. If you've read the review you can tell the big complaint was that it is more of the same. If this doesn't matter to you than buy the game. If you were hoping for the game to make some innovations than don't buy the game. Obviously the lack of innovation mattered to the reviewer and that is up to her. If you think games should be reviewed differently, then stop visiting this site and write your own review.

@Rasmus Hoejengaard / Crytek: Have your read any EULAs recently? I have bought games recently that state you can transfer ownership as long as you don't retain any material / copies yourself. This was on the PC. I did in fact sell it too. Good companies, like Matrix Games treats their customers fairly. Poor companies like Crytek / EA / Activision / Ubisoft try to screw their customers to get as much as they can from them. The odd thing is that computer software is practically the only consumer good that tries to limit the customers right to transfer the product to another person. That is what is screwed up, not that consoles allow used games.
