@cesarpo said:

Rocket league is a dumbed down version of football (soccer) with cars and explosions.

Then you hear the same people that make fun of Michael Bay and Fast and Furious movies saying that they prefer Rocket League over FIFA/PES. Oh the irony.

FIFA and PES were always a dumbed down and glittery version of actual Fútbol ("Soccer"? Eat my shorts USies)...

which by the way it's hitting its limits as a sport.

Press a button to make a pass.

Play 10' simulating 90'.

Buy the players you want until your pass-pass-run-center-goal formula works out.

Have Messi and Ronaldo and Agüero together on the same team.

Pay extra cash just for colours and sponsors "resembling" real life fútbol.

WOWWWWW!!! How 'realistic'!!

Rocket League is shorter, cheaper, faster and WAY more competitive and engaging than your every years' washed out formula.

People that only has money talking about games as if they knew. OH the irony.

BTW, check the votes pal. Checkmate.

@skipper847: I don't know what DSR is, but the game is still fantastic in 1440p and "the twist" still gets you thinking.
If you liked the first one, I encourage you to try out Bioshock 2 and its DLC, Minerva's Den. It really felt like a sequel, and it looks and plays really nice (specially after replaying B1).

@sSubZerOo: Indeed, what you say is also true. Probably the shooting mechanics (watching it as the pseudo-straight shooter the game wants to make you think it is/ wants to be) are the worst of the bunch and certain sequences piss you off when hooked on the story and want to move on. I started it on Hard without inconveniences until the "Reclaim the First lady" part, where the game lost definitely its Bioshock appeal to me (hence called BInfinite for obvious reasons). Up to tat point, I didn't upgrade any weaponry, never died, and never bought anything from Dollar Bills. After that, I died 10 times and frustration made me swallow my ego.

That is why I believe it's neither a 9.0 or a 4.0 (how cynical a paid reviewer can possibly be with his own opinion?) as Gamespot reviewed it, but a Solid 7.

Of course, the twist is not as shocking as the perennial "Would you Kindly?" (Ether 8 in my book) or Minerva's Den (Along with Bioshock 2, a Nitro 9) finale in my opinion.

...And nowadays, I must point this out, being "unimpressed" is the way to go (I do ignore what does contemporary gamers feel the thrills with a story when most of them long for teabagging at a ZPS)... at least it seems that way when reading some comments from people here at GS which only has a beefy rig and nothing more as a gamer (the day the machine would define a person as a gamer... that day we will be F%CKED).

But BInfinite makes you THINK about LOTS os issues, and I believe its twist helps on that department, and several things make more sense the more you replay it. Granted, with no multiple ending or moral choices and its bullet-sponging innuendos between conversations only persuade you to pass out both on replaying.

By the way, thanks for taking your time on reading and commenting, I really appreciate it.

@hillelslovak: That much seems to be quite true.

Your username was the former's RHCP guitarist name/nick, huh?
