@malachi: Yeah. As with FFX/-2, it's likely that Square wants to see how well the game does on PS4 before using that version as a base for the eventual Steam release.

Here's an idea: Try and experiment with various different genres with perhaps only trace amounts of RPG elements. Remember, we did got Dirge of Cerberus at some point. Sure, it might not have been a perfect game by any means but still.
