I don't think I'll ever be able stop watching the VGA's (or what ever they'll be called in the future) after being blown away once Syrim was announced, now I'll be watching just for the possibility to be excited in the same way, and I guess I sort of feel obligated to watch too just because of involved in video games I am.
I wasn't really offended by the co-host, I guess you could chalk it up to the whole "we're used to it" theory but really I feel like he was just joking and if the jokes fall flat the embarrassment falls on him I'm not getting worked up about it; if I was upset about anything it was the lack of any really exciting news, the new Borderlands game pleasantly surprised me but beyond that there wasn't much reason to suffer through the dull comments.
The funniest part of the whole show definitely was this http://www.spike.com/video-collections/8236y5/vgx-vgx-2013-highlights/1eyi38, I thought at least half of it was hilarious, but really that's a much better percentage than the rest of the show.
I think the convenience and relaxation of just sitting down and play a game with either a control or mouse and keyboard will be very very hard to beat.
Sure advances in controller structure and so forth will likely be welcome but controller/keyboard gaming just works really well and the lack of physical exertion required will always seem appetizing after a hard day at work or whatever else.
@elegantspock If you keep up this mysterious hyping of the Kinect I'm going to have to buy an Xbox One just to dissect the camera to unfold its life altering power.
I've said it a thousand times but I really hope that Insomniac doesn't stop working with Ratchet & Clank universe despite their new IP's, the series has more entries than most ever get but yet has managed to consistently improve and stay fresh, and the universe/lore is so big and diverse that the potential for future adventures is enormous and I could even see the series continue once Ratchet & Clank retire whether it be continued by future heroes, heroes in a far awy galaxy/dimension, or maybe even the past exploits of legends like Captains Qwark and Starshield.
I think assholes and brats online are almost always assholes and brats in real life they just don't have any fear of meaningful confrontation online so they can finally act any way they want and the only retribution they can likely face is a mean reply, but while verbal assault can potentially be as damaging as physical assault nothing ever hurts or pisses you off nearly as much once you read it online as compared to hearing it in person.
Trolls must have been thrilled once they heard they were getting their own award show, but I must say even though I was initially skeptical Feedbackla has become an enjoyable addition to my Fridays.
