Thanks....I easily beat it last night. My biggest problem is that I was not utilizing the effectivness of overwatch and reaction fire. Now......I am having trouble keeping countries...afloat..............stress has never been this much fun!!

any tips for this? ......I hated strategy games until I bought XCOM. I have played it probably 6-8 hours and I am really loving it. I have started over like 4 times completely because countries were leaving the alliance too quick and I realized that early on I must get those satellites and workshops up and not worry so much about weapons early on. This last restart I feel that i have been doing really well. I had about 4-5 officers built up to the 2nd or 3rd level. However, i just went on a UFO mission and got about 3 of them injured. We made it back but they are out for awhile.....and low and behold the very next mission is my first "terror mission"...........I got my ass handed to me multiple times. I have tried running to rescure hostages and then the Chrysalids go and find the others and turn them to zombies. I have tried to hunt down the Chrysalids first and end up getting eat by them and 2-3 of my soldiers dead or zombified. I have tried this mission ( I am guess about 7 times) and get handed everytime. The bad part is due to my injury situation I have to take about 3 Rooks along for the mission. and I don't have a save to go back to (before the previous mission where my bad ass guys were injured).

Any help would be appreciated...

Sorry, but major TL;DR, I read the first few of your explanations, but the actual story and what happens aren't really what killed it for me, it's the fact they missed out on such a good chance to really create an intricate sequence of videos (even images or a wall of text would have done), unique to each player, showing how YOUR choices made a difference. Not some lame ass choice at the end. To be honest I found the whole last bit unbelievable and ridiculous anyway.

Dragon Age Origins or Fallout New Vegas would be a good example of the type of ending I want, one which actually reflects your choices. ME was a truly epic series, all about choice and freedom, the fact 99% of your gameplay, story and character was ignored at the end was a retarded decision.

Awful ending, a big missed chance, not as totally bad as it could have been, but still an absolute shocker.

Am i understanding this right......if you guys don't get your perfect happy "burrito wrapped up" ending...it is not satisfying? Do you not ever get tired of the same old "lived happily ever after " garbage?

Were you also mad that William Wallace was dismembered at the end of Braveheart?

I love all the MP updates ....but I saw stories a couple of weeks before the Reckoning release suggesting that there were gonna be some new co-op modes and stuff that was supposed to incorporate single player save data into the story.

In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle).

All I saw were new characters and a few weapons...I saw no new "story missions" or new gameplay modes....... I didn't even realize reckoning had new maps.

Plus.....you may "not care" now...but you will if the next gen. doesn't allow used/rental games...you can say "it's my property once I buy it" all you want, but it won't work on someone elses machine.....then the software company will say "don't care" right back to you.
