So Microsoft, Sony, and the Game Publishers are instead going to absorb the cost of the hardware themselves, instead of making us buy the consoles?

I don't get it....

Sure they need hardware (servers) now for multiplayer, chat, games saves ,etc, but in the future they'll serve everything!? What's that gonna cost a month?!?
