@dominoodle @dangermouse2k Progressives are the ones who want more government/state regulations, i.e. control. For example, 10 years ago the book for day care rules and regulations was about 20 pages long. Today it's about 120 pages. That's the government creating more and more regulations. More regulations = more control and more revenue possibilities.
@theKSMM@dangermouse2k@zyxe"I actually find it *more* dangerous that any complaints of discrimination are immediately met with assertions that somebody is "playing the race card" or "gender baiting." "
@zyxe @dangermouse2k No, no you don't. But we have a gigantic gender/race industry that looks to be offended. It tends to create a social paradigm where social issues such as race and gender are artificially inflated. I agree that a lot of work still needs to be done, but many of us don't realize how influential this industry is in making issues bigger than they are simply because it's in their best interests.
Ladies and gentlemen, don't be fooled by the race industry and their incessant assertions like this. Of course many many industries are male-dominant or white-dominant, but don't be fooled by statistics that are always asserting that we are a sexist/raciest culture. We see it every day on the news. The last 3 articles I've read covered person [X] making statement [A] and the only "people" offended were the organizations whose job it is to keep the "offended" game in the media. The actual people in these stories weren't even offended!!
Racism/sexism isn't dead in our society--but it's definitely on life support. But you may not think so because the race industry won't let it die--they stand to loose the most when their "cause" actually dissipates (similar to an anti-virus company actually wanting viruses to go away forever.)
