So typical of our time. Great effects and visuals, great coreograhpy of the scene. BUT, some childish cliche "OMGZZZ I AM THE ULTIMATE EVIL!!!" I swear, how many times have I seen this? Have we become totally creatively inept (I mean, outside of those in the 7-10 yr old age range)

@AlienMinator

Blame or scapegoat-ism is really a strawman and is best left out of the discussion. I don't think anyone reasonable is claming that solely violence from video games is creating real world violence or that video games are 'the culprit'. Maybe you are projecting that...

@Lord_Python1049 @damien310 Well, my personal experience is a small part of it and that's not to say that they've made me violent, but rather than I understand it somewhat from the limited perspective of me playing them (especially now that I'm older). But I believe we have a modern society that very much condones and takes satisfaction in violence. How could this be a good thing for the future of this society? However so subtle it may be in many cases in the grand scope of things these subtleties add up and create our reality. There is plenty of violence, coldness, and instability in the world today as much as ever. It's the kids that are still forming their conciousness and learning how to proccess the world around them that are playing these games. How could it not matter?

I don't think we posess anywhere near the sophistication of technology or understanding to determine exactly the cause and effect of violent video games but as someone whos been playing them for decades I believe that, definitely, there is an effect and that in the grand scope of things it is a powerful one. It doesn't make them wrong and it doesn't mean someone is bad for playing them but this world is not an open loop and as they say in programming: garbage in, garbage out.

Oh yeah, let's just pretend this isn't biased despite the fact that Gamespot deals in video games: 95% of which are BASED on violence. This is basically just an ad that condones their products.

Man, this is just so funny. Being a lifelong gamer I remember reading about selling virtual items maybe about a decade ago & I took it as some silly and ridiculous fringe idea that would never catch on. Welcome to the future!

" Free to PLAY! " Nice, a little of the old Orwellian double-speak. Definitely nothing unusual about deception in this day & age. This is a marketing model designed to rake in record profits, I'm sure. Count me out when money is the only thing that matters to these companies anymore...

@cRaCk-hOr Yeah, I agree w/Gothicka.... the art speaks for itself & is, of course, amazing. Blizzard basically took a very simple and addictive gameplay framework & aced it.

I'd just rather not support blizzard at all now with the direction they are heading...

@NorseLax09 There is nothing to steal.... if I get it it will be downloaded. You steal apples because if I take one of your apples that means one less apple that you can eat. In this case, rest assured, blizzard doesn't have some finite amount of programs that will run out at a certain point. My downloading of a 'pirated' version of their product will cost them absolutely nothing. Do you understand?
