I thought it was just me getting asked all the time. Apparently not.

From what I understand, from chatting to Will Carle when it went live across all CBSi's sites, their legal team want it there permanently for European visitors for the time being. It still might get dialled back in future.
There are ways to hide it using browser extensions, which I'm doing personally.
The argument for moving from 0.1 to 0.5 was similar to 'what's the real difference between 8.1 and 8.2?'. At face value, that granularity is fairly meaningless.
I seem to remember the reason for moving to whole numbers was a bit like that.
@chad28_69: A fair while back there was a thread where staff were taking requests from people whose stacks had Japanese variants in them. They then were running or script, or something like that, to fix those entries. They might be able to fix yours in the same manner.
I don't see downvotes coming back any time soon. They were abused previously, simply to downvote a user rather than what they'd said.
Just having upvotes avoids that completely, and the poor comments will naturally not be upvoted.
@edgework: It is a shame that GS Complete (etc) was canned, as I'd been a subscriber for years. As soon as that ended, that's when I added a load of ad networks to my restricted sites list. I'd still think that getting some income from a subscription would be better than getting no income as a result of people blocking the ads instead, unless I'm misunderstanding things.
I do subscribe to giantbomb, so I get to avoid ads there anyway. The premium content there is just a bonus.
@wemmick: I was able to save my default games I own stack as normal, so the fix has worked. Thanks.
It actually popped up before E3. If you remove the spaces from the stack name, you'll be able to save it.
@korvus: @Erick might know. He was posting track titles in the chat yesterday.
Now it's all safety measures, with that,I'd tolerate with the "log in required" to prevent account theft and vandalism.
If you're concerned about your own account, that's why the logout button exists. The 2 week login cookie works fine for me.
