Hi so I have a 22in samsung LED 1080p and im using it as my second monitor, my 1080p asus monitor is just fine tho and they are both connected by hdmi and are both set to 1920x1080 resolution. My problem is that the quality seems really off like images and text are not smooth and they are kind of pixely like anti aliasing or something... wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows a solution.

I was looking at more of them today and corsair, which i think is a pretty good company, makes one too, it seems pretty good, almost identical to the cooler master one everyone seems to like and same price after rebate

yea, the second one of the 3 is a liquid cooler. I read a review about a guy who had a leak which destroyed everything so now i'm reconcidering it even though the chances are really slim
thanks for the suggestion, its actually for an entirely new computer which is a workstation build
ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B
CORSAIR CWCH60
XIGMATEK Dark Knight II
So these are some of the cpu coolers I've been looking at for an Ivy bridge cpu I'll be getting sometime soon. If ny one knows soom good ones or have any input thated be great.

So I'm building a workstation PC for my major and right now I'm deciding on these two mid ranged cards. We really only use Autodesk Maya so that's all I really need it for, we might use zbrush and mudbox as well and I probably don't have to worry about the Adobe programs I use. So far from a few articles I read it seems that the firePro is better suited for me but I heard the quadro might have better drivers, although that was from older articles with unbiased people.
here is a fairly recent article about the firePros

and here's a page of benchmarks

thanks but i read that the 600 series nvidia cards are actually worse than the 500 series when it comes to 3D programs

I am also considering to get a firepro 5900 or 5800 because of these charts for maya,

thanks, i forgot to look at combos, theres actually a combo with the 750w corsair with that case that will just be $5 more than the 650w. I can also get a free copy of mass effect 3 with that cpu
So I'm building a new computer in a few weeks that I'm going to use for college as a 3D Digital Computer Graphics Major; mainly AutoDesk Maya. This is what I am thinking about getting right now; any suggestions, advice, and input would be great :D
so i was wondering how much you guys spend proportionally on your parts. for me on my pc i build about 3 years ago on a budge these are approximated calculations...
mobo-16%
gpu-21%
cpu-27%
psu-8%
ram-8%
dvdb-3%
hdd-7%
case-10%
others-0%
reading how much can probably make sure I don't spend too much on things like a case or psu when the money should go towards a better cpu or gpu
the increase of price on hhd will probably affect this also
