got a new rig from dell about 2 months ago and all was well..read games and cd's fine..never tried dvd's but i assumed it woulda worked...now suddenly it can't detect anything i put in it and just says insert disk or make sure disk is in and hit retry..any suggestions?..i went and checked the driver and it said it is working properly which is ****...anyway im pretty upset..advice appreciated, thanks
i had a mic on vent that i could just talk and it would pick up...if i talked REALLY LOUD...it was terrible trying to get it to pick up...your way better off with a push to talk hot key..to get it to pick up i'd have to kill my guilds eardrums
Really need some advice on a good head set for WoW or any other game on ventrillo...man ive had 2 and they both sucked..would have to talk loud for it to pick up and killed my guilds eardrums apparently lol...any one know agood headset for up to 70 bucks? really dont think i could spend or would need to spend more then that for a headset..theres just too many options..
i kinda like the ps3's headset system where u press a button to talk and it auto-picks up..advice appreciated
8600 gts > 7600..plus it will already be pre-installed on my rig and thats convient for me because im not that technically savvy when it comes to installin graphics cards
I just ordered a new rig that has a 8600 gts :D should arrive tommorow...I chose it because:
1. Not that expensive 2. Supports dx10...really dont wanna upgrade for awhile and im cool runnin on medium settings if i have too down the road 3. Could be pre-installed on my rig when it arrives..really dont know anything about installing them 4. eventually the 9000 series will come out and the prices for the 8800's will go down..8600 can handle anything I wanna play for the next year or 2... (All i play are blizzard games though :P..and plan on playin SC2 for atleast a year lol)

if you have more money send it back dont bother i dont know why people buy it it's the same as 7600 ur gona have to replace it quick it's a old card with extra shader just get a 7900gt or somthing
why would i send it back? its exactly what i need..been gamin on my laptop and needed to get a desktop...only games i been playin are warcraft III and WoW..can handle those fine..will play sc2 fine and still debating whether im gonna get ut3 on pc or ps3...and yeah i do half my gaming on my ps3 so its not like im limited on games...
all these new games come out and i dont know if anyone else is like me but i really dont need that much variety in my gaming...i played the original starcraft for a year straight and had a blast..i still play it sometimes..then i played a ton of WoW and warcraft III...and plan on just playin those for the time being..until sc2 comes out...and then thats another year plus with all the great ps3 titles comin out..
maybe the 8600 gts isnt perfect for everyone but its perfect for me..like i said..blizzard games..they really arn't that graphically intense and are highly addictive = cheap gaming = medium range graphics card

i'd say im not...dont have the newest cell phone..but the phone part of my cell phone actually works everywhere :D just ordered a new pc and it has an 8600 gts..i just play blizzard games anyway soi really dont need a 400 dollar graphics card..just need somthing capable of playing WoW and SCII that wasn't my laptop
I think people are crazy..im sure when the 9000 series graphics cards come out a buncha people will go buy them for some insane price when the ones out now could do everything they want easily for a cheaper price and they coulda just waited to upgrade..awell i guess if i could crap money i'd buy the latest n greatest..but i got rent to pay :p
