First and foremost you just tried to compare the PC world to the console world, which is like trying to compare an apple to a 1968 German Calculator. AND you just tried to use a music and movie study (which I'm curious to see the reputable source behind it) to the gaming industry; also which my analogy applies to. A song is roughly a dollar per song, with maybe 5-6 people behind it's writing. A game is a several year commitment, hundreds to thousands of people behind it, and priced significantly higher; you can't compare the two; they're two completely different industries. It's also SIGNIFICANTLY easier to pirate/download a PC based game than it is to hack a console system. Any Joe with half a brain can download a game torrent; not every Joe can or knows how to hack consoles. Thank you for the first good laugh.
"However Ill give you way to beat piracy. make your games worth buying, and people will buy them"
What perfect Utopia with perfectly moral human beings that would never stoop to stealing have you been living on? My God, it's like saying: Don't worry, we have a death penalty for murder now in place, all murder will stop. Thank you for the second good laugh.
@BuiltForSin Am I sensing some butthurt from not playing D3? I do believe I am. Last time I checked the indie industry and the small games are doing just wonderful . I for one am equally a consumer in both big games and small game markets. With that being said, what train of logic are you using to reach the conclusion that because millions of people bought a much anticipated large title, that it will stifle smaller titles? Sense, it makes none.
@liam82517 I like how you just tried to pull the age card on me and that alone discredited any further comments from you. To attack ones person over them having an opinion is laughable. The rocky release was uncalled for, I'll agree to that, but having the this kind of incessant rage over the whole idea is just as childish as your comments towards my age. Yes there is uncontrollable variables that may affect play, but for a few hours of maintenance every so often I'm perfectly fine with with this since I won't have to deal with other issues that might ruin my experience (hacking and what not). I'll restate yet another point of mine: When you find a solution to pirating/duping/hacking, please by all means tell me it so I can sell it for millions. And I'll also inform you that you're missing out on a great game. Your opinions is your opinion though, and your loss is your own to deal with
@liam82517 I'll gladly be labeled a sheep in order to tell you how much fun I'm having playing Diablo 3 right now, while you're busy nursing your butthurt. I'll also reiterate the point I've been repeating: What are you on right now? The internet. So you're on the same medium, the internet, complaining about a requirement to be on the internet; irony wins yet again. Time to go back to clicking my way to glory.
