Strange. Are you from the region that the card is being sold from. IE it's a United States Gold subscription card and you are from the United States? Subscription codes for Xbox Live are region locked in a way so a Gold Subscription card purchased in the United States only works on accounts in the United States.

I hate racing games for the most part but with the wheel I am in love with Forza! Having the wheel stuck on the desk is great as well as it means I can turn hard and the wheel doesn't go flying off my lap!

Do not use video games on rear projection screens. Read the manuals, they talk all about it.Lawnboi

There's nothing wrong with playing video games on rear-projection TV's. In older models of rear-projection TV's burn-in was an issue. There is very little chance of burn-in with DLP and after 2+ years of gaming on the older rear-projection LCD there is no issues with burn-in on that one either.

Gun is a short game and I wouldn't recomend it out of the four you chose unless you're a huge Western fan. I'd go with either Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Saints Row. Out of those two I believe I played Saints Row more than Marvel.

How long is the subscription on the card that you purchased? If it's 48-hours those cards can only be used on gamertags that have never been a gold account as they are "trial cards" to give Xbox Live gold a try.

I play on two TV's depending on if the boyfriends home or not. One TV is DLP and the other is rear-projection LCD. The LCD is a few years old and the DLP is just about a year old. I'd have to say the DLP looks nicer, everything is brighter and the image seems sharper with the DLP. The only problem I have with gaming on a plasma TV is worrying about burn-in.

One cord should be enough for two controllers. It takes 8 hours for the battery to fully charge with the Play & Charge Kit. The quick charge kit that rjim1 mentioned is my preferred method of charging batteries. It plugs into the wall and takes 2 hours to charge one battery, or 4 hours to charge two batteries. Also it means no cords running across my living room!
