@Prats1993 @collingtonuk @tightwad34 Oh, thank god you cleared that up. I'll do my best to highlight your insightful comment to all the people still buying them, all the games that they are selling still, all the developers who are still making games for it, the retailers still making money from it, the advertisers, the the affiliated companies and the rest. All this time they have been wrong and it just took Prats1993 to clear it up.
I suspect EA and the like that bleat on about used games were the reason why Microsoft added the option to restrict used games at the console rather than have to use online passes.
@Dienheart @collingtonuk For a flagging console releasing something that many gamers played 10 years ago is not going to shift hardware. I'm not so sure the 'gen' is in Sony's bag just yet but its safe to say the big N has made some bad decisions.
@Jonny-Two-Delta Pretty much exactly where I am at, 6 months ago i could not see myself getting anything other than the new xbox, my PS3 gets no action compared to my 360 but i think I too will be with Sony this gen.
@xxYetterxx @HonorOfGod Thats rubbish, When they develop game they cost in the expense of servers and hosting etc. So per copy sold a portion goes on those additional overheads, if you trade it in then you cease to be a load on those overheads and the new owner takes over, there is no net increase on the servers. Developers that abandon their games once released and give their users no incentive to keep playing can not complain if their game is traded in multiple times.
@mrintro @collingtonuk The hype machine sold 9 million copies, as a game it was massively disappointing. It does not change the fact that it should be on the new hardware, pushing sales. Not on old hardware where its had its day already.
