Isn't Wii U really just a matter of Nintendo returning to the N64/Gamecube levels of sales, not a collapse into a pit. Once you take away the nursing home, etc. purchases of the Wii, etc. - Nintendo finishing third in system sales is consistent with past practice. There is nothing wrong with this as long as they make a profit and please their fans. Who cares is they outsell Sony or M$.

I still think MS's "enhancements" that are left only add features that I have no interest in and only add to the cost (and are not optional). Yes you have the option to turn some off, but you can't save the $. I don't think either company is more worried about customers than money, but anyone who has used Windows 8 or Vista or dealt with MS support knows how little MS cares about what the customer wants or expects.

@megakick Unlike a Red Ring that destroys a high percentage of systems and wasn't considered a warranty repair until MS got sued. That makes me a lot madder than any of Sony's screwups. BTW, it is only bait and switch if you must buy the game. mistaken prices are changed all the time - just watch for all the corrections to the store ads that come out after Sunday papers.

Am I the only person that thought Sony screwed up big time last gen and learned their lesson. While XBOX won last generation (I have one I bought after Red Ring solved) and thought they could do anything they wanted because Live was better than Sony's offering. All I want is the best system with the best games - not rooting for XBOX to screw up and Sony to do the right thing, but not too stupid to notice that is exactly what happened.

@ApocaLeepse @Sefrix @ArcherRO You do realize that this is just as likely to alienate customers. It is all about making their work environment better. Work in a corporate environment some time and you might just get it. Agree that EA lacks ethics in general, but this is a different issue.

@Jamesp2005 @cmyork If they don't lower the price on games, then I do avoid the consoles at least in the short run. Maybe once there are sufficient greatest hits/discount games new I will buy, but not before.

@mellow09 @cmyork Agree. This message got accidentally removed from another conversation. It was more in response to a specific point.

I hope you are right because I would much rather have $30 or $40 new games than used games any day.

@reincarnator07 @cmyork Neither are used games. A good chunk of used games were no sales that became sales. And I do think that trade ins allow people to buy new games. I do that often. And, yes, I think the piracy estimates were self serving BS, just like the used game lost sames estimates.

Piracy almost killed the PC market back then because they estimated only 10% or so of players were buying. Thus, Steam, etc. Much bigger hit than used games. I mostly buy used only for older, cheaper games. New stuff I just wait for sales (typically on Amazon so I don't have to deal with GS).
