Hi, I’m part of a small Games’ studio working on a new project based on the Bram Stoker’s Dracula, where the player controls the iconic vampire through London. If you don’t mind, I have a few questions that will help to inform our game’s design:

1. How do you feel about a game based on the novel?

2. Would you buy it?

3. How do you want Dracula to feel?

4. How close to the source material would you like the game to be?

5. What characters would you like to see in the game?

6. Are there any specific areas you would like to see in the game?

7. Which of Dracula’s powers would you like to see utilised?

8. Would you be interested in exploring Dracula’s origin?

If you have a few spare minutes to answer these questions, it would be much appreciated and we hope your answers will help us to make a better game for you.

Thanks!

Alot of people are arguing that the AAA market is on the verge of collapse, and while I would agree to an extent, I don't think we'll see the same catastrophe of the crash in the 80s. That said, a lot of big companies who have been searching for profitability have ended up alienating their customers through endless microtransactions and 'games as a service' type models (not to say that GaaS is all bad). EA and Activision are great examples of this with recent events concerning BF5 and Bungie respectively. In Bethesda's case though, I have high hopes for them as they seem to be bucking the trend (for the most part) with a lineup of fantastic-looking games in development.

The last of Us has one of the best soundtracks in games imo. Although I would say there's a few of the tracks in the ost that don't work well outside of the context of the game, but that is likely to happen in most games.

Games like the Witcher, Dragon Age and Dishonored are good, but like a lot of the games in your list, require a lot of time to complete. If you're feeling like you've got a backlog of games, it might be worth going through some of the shorter length games first, like tomb raider and hellblade.
