@Double_Wide Well, to each his own! I respect that. Though having different styles also meant you could shape the game more to your liking: take DMC3, I didn't really like gunslinger and I happily stuck to trickster most of the time. It's just giving the player more choice.
@endorbr @Morphine_OD I guess that for someone who's used to reviewing videogames, those flaws that one would only see by comparing titles (in this case ACIII and AC:L) get noticed even without the comparison, thanks to the previous experiences and thanks to the mindset which is already set on finding those flaws to start with.
@gamingnerd121 @Giganticguyver4 That's partially true, but if heavy weapon (like the new demonic axe) means slow movement, then you're stuck with that, while in DMC3/4 you could countermeasure it with the trickster style! As you wrote this is simplified, but mastering the styles in the previous titles meant you really felt like a boss!
Where are the styles? Trickster, Swordmaster, Gunslinger, Royalguard (not to mention quicksilver and all the others)... They added so much depth to the combat!
I really hope you can do more than switching between 3 weapons here!
Actually, I guess it would be cool to have "online vs": in games such as ZoE and Devil May Cry (don't know about DmC :P), where the combat is just so much fun, being able to square off against someone with your same weapons at disposal, especially if better than the computer, would be really engrossing. Come on, multiplayer is not necessarily bad!
