Trophies give Dead Space good replay value, maybe up to 3-4 times. Average completion time is about 12 hours on first play through.

WAW is COD 4.5 in essence, a WW2 add on pack. Wait for COD 6 unless you really like the WW2 scenario.

Dead Space is fricking awesome. If you have COD4 then no need to get World at War.

Dead Space is a highly polished game, you should love it!

How can you relax on a PC after working on it for 8-9+ hours a day!?

No, I'd rather relax on a comfy sofa, not using a mouse to play my games on a big TV.

SamiRDuran

guess what? you can do exactly the same thing with your pc connected to the tv and an xbox360 or ps3 controller

Yeah you can, but it's not ideal. You are making compromises - great in theory. Why loose all that res on your expensive gaming PC and be forced to use a gamepad to play against PC gamers with mice.

Great in theory but flawed.

no worries, having the same issues - hate the new layout and design and bugs :(

OK cool mate. I was just being defensive because I have a PS3. I also have a top end PC, but I don't like to play games on it,because I work on it most of the time.

no problems.

i'm not bashing the PS3 either here, it has some awesome games on it. but like the 360 it has it's own limitations that hold it back from doing truly awesome things. hopefully the PS4 and next Xbox clear these issues up.

i personally don't care if a game looks super beautiful, i'd rather play something fun - and the PS3 and 360 have tons of awesome games that look pretty amazing given the hardware.

Yeah but they won't, there will always be something to bash about a new gen console. You have to respect Sony or MS or putting out a console that's meant to last 5 -10 years. In hindsight both companies would change things.

You seem to ignore the amazing things that can be achieved with software regardless of hardware, that's the untapped potential.

you don't have to be a genius to know how hardware works mate. i've been assembling my own PCs and networks myself since I was about 12 years old. and as a good software developer you sure as hell better know your hardware - you're probably talking about software guys that write corporate or desktop apps, or web stuff, which is totally not the same thing at all.

like i said, continue telling me whatever you like. im stating facts mate.

3picuri3

So you are comparing a PS3 to a top of the range PC in 2008?

no, no i'm not doing that all. i'm just trying to demonstrate how painfully obvious this hardware limitation should be to anyone with knowledge of hardware. anyone that works with hardware knows that RAM acts as a conduit between processor / GPU / HDD. it's a shame some of you have to be so stubborn instead of just taking the time to do some research.

not my loss though.

I'm sorry, but what are you comparing it too then? I don't understand your point. all console have been limited from the nes to the ps3 in some way.

you guys could tell me you're magicians from the planet Lekzor III and you can see in to the future with crystal balls. you'd still be wrong. read the article i linked then look for some white papers on the PS3 specs if you are as tech minded as you say you are.

i suggest google for you people to use, as it's easy and you'd quickly see how wrong you are. i have my knowledge from working in the industry and from reading numerous articles and developer interviews. i don't google my knowledge mate :).

If you work in Software as you've stated before, then obviously you have no clue about how hardware works. I have tons of programmers and develops right outside of my office and they have no clue about hardware. Please, knowing software doesn't mean you automatically know how hardware runs.
