It looks like it's finally worth picking up a current gen console this year. Uncharted 4, Horizon, Alienation, TLG, and Nier are looking very promising. Then there's Bloodborne from last year and the new Red Dead will most likely be skipping PC.

Agreed. I will finally get a PS4 this year.

The next Red Dead WILL be on PC, mark my words. Rockstar can't ignore PC gamers anymore.

I hope it comes to PC, the only reason I said it will most likely be skipping PC is because all of the Red Dead rumors that surfaced/leaked have only mentioned PS4/XB1. Still don't understand why they wouldn't want to bring it.

ALTTP between these. Shouldn't there be a vote for the best PC game?

I think XCOM 2 fits your description. Look into it.

Not enough Dishonored 2 love on here. The original was one of the best games of last generation imo and was what Deus Ex: HR was trying to be gameplay wise, which makes sense with part of the team being made up of team members from the original Deus Ex.

This is actually better than what they planned on doing. The plan was to release a $60 game but launch it with only part of the content and release the other content over time.

Now you can choose to buy each episode when it's released or wait until it's all finished and buy it all for $60.

@aigis: One of the up sides of fan made content is the lack of budget not distracting them from what matters, gameplay.

Well crafted user content such as Minerva puts AAA blockbusters to shame.

Not to mention Dota 2 is a sequel to a mod. People shouldn't sleep on mods or indie games just because they don't have a high budget.

Their games tend to be made up of collectibles and fetch quests to pad the game's content and waste people's time. Warner Bros has also copied their style.

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of open world games, but there are a few that I enjoy. I prefer linear games that feature freedom of approach and well crafted levels as opposed to open world games with linear mission design that are padded with meaningless content.

I'm interested since it's a sequel to the best Half-Life game. Valve may also end up putting their name on it since most Valve games aren't even made by Valve.
