I love Metroid, but people don't buy Metroid copies like Mario or Zelda. F-Zero GX was pure awesomeness and it did terribly sales wise, so Nintendo doesn't care to release a new F-Zero. This is what should be expected unfortunately.

Metroid Prime was the best selling game on Gamecube so I don't know what your talking about.

Actually, the best selling Gamecube game was Super Smash Bros. Melee at 7.09 million copies sold (likely why the big focus of this E3 for Nintendo was Smash Bros.), while Metroid Prime had 2 million (which still makes it in the top 10 best selling games). However, I do agree that it's time for another Metroid game. Personally, I would prefer a new 3D side scrolling Metroid game, but I think that it is most likely going to be on the Wii U next E3. The roundtable tomorrow could very well be about a Metroid game, but at the same time it could also be Majora's Mask 3D considering that Ocarina of Time 3D was announced in a similar fashion. Whatever happens, I seriously doubt that Metroid is dead. It wouldn't make much sense to add another version of Samus and Ridley as a boss in Smash Bros. if Nintendo had given up on Metroid. Here's hoping!

After the announcement of the newest installment of the Legend of Zelda series for Wii U, there was a lot of controversy over "Link's" appearance in the trailer. Many even said that "he looks like a girl." However, Mike Minotti from GamesBeat may have dug up some valuable information involving this character when he supposedly asked Mr. Aonuma about Link's art style. Here was his response:

"No one explicitly said that that was Link."

This statement is quite true. At no point during the teaser did anyone actually say that the character seen was Link. Also, the character was not seen wearing the traditional green tunic seen on Link. Of course, Link has appeared in alternate clothing before, but it would make sense for him to have his iconic tunic in a trailer, especially at E3.

Now, there is no guarantee that the interview above even happened to begin with as the author of the article does not have any proof, but it is certainly an interesting concept. If you would like to take a look at the article for yourself, the link (no pun intended) is below. Let me know what you think about this information!

I would definitely like Zelda Wii U to have more of a dark feel to it as was seen in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess was a great game in my opinion despite what has been said about it, and although I will agree that it could be a bit dull at times (not a whole lot to explore in Hyrule Field), I think that its general theme was a good idea.

As for the art style, I am definitely hoping for something very similar to what was seen in the Wii U tech demo. I am actually not a huge fan of the way things looked in Skyward Sword, and I am hoping that the visuals are less childish than what was seen in it. To me, it was as if they tried to blend Twilight Princess graphics (dark and mature) with those of the Wind Waker (bright and childish, which makes more sense in a Toon Link game). I think they need to just pick a style instead of trying to meet in the middle, and my personal preference would be that they go with a more mature look to showcase the HD capabilities of the Wii U.

In terms of items, I am not too picky. The important thing here is that there is some sort of variety. In Skyward Sword, I felt that every item forced the use of Wii Motion Plus motion controls (don't even get me started). Some of the ideas, however, I thought were very good, one example being the Beetle. Weapon upgrades were also a great feature from SS and A Link Between Worlds and they would definitely be welcome in Zelda Wii U. I think that the upgrades can breath new life into items that may have only been used in a dungeon or two.

Be warned before you read ahead! My plot section does give away a key plot element from a past Zelda game!

Finally, I am hoping for a deep and well-developed plot with some decent characters to back it up. For example, in A Link Between Worlds there is a great plot twist at the end when Ravio turns out to be Link's Lorule doppelgänger. The problem for me was that this striking similarity was not explained in more detail. It left me wanting more! However, Nintendo has been able to deliver some astonishingly deep stories up to this point, and if they can add just a bit more detail, I'm sure it will be nothing short of perfection.

I believe I have raved on long enough, but the point is that I am extremely excited for what Nintendo has been working so hard on for us. Even if not a single wish of mine comes true for the game, I will completely love it anyway. There has never been a truly bad Zelda game, I don't believe there ever will be. (And that means a canon Zelda game! Screw you CD-I!)

Yeah I wasn't too impressed with Spartan Ops. It reminds me too much of Reach's campaign, which I wasn't a big fan of. Just not like playing as the chief if you know what I mean. I only liked firefight for about a week in ODST, then it got old. They brought it back in Reach and I wasn't a big fan. I think Spartan Ops is basically Halo 4's answer to firefight, but I wish they would have taken it out entirely and just focused on adding new gametypes to multiplayer or something. Anyway, just my opinion.

[QUOTE="brn360"][QUOTE="jakes456"]

personally I would go with the Alienware. It's compact, sleek, and can run any game on ultra. Plus it has a cool Alien logo.

I thought so at first, but I saw on a number of benchmarks and sites that the gpu that comes in the X51 isn't capable of running Battlefield 3 on ultra. I guess I could upgrade it though. Thanks for your post!

Dont bother getting an Alienware X51 Here are some better options for less http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227441

Thanks! I actually think I might go for the 3rd one you listed. It has some pretty good stuff inside for a good price. Thanks for taking the time to find those! It was really helpful!

Hey everybody! Alright brace yourselves because I have quite a bit to say. I need help picking parts for a gaming PC in the budget range of about $1200. At first I was planning on getting the Alienware X51, but I heard that I can get something much better for less money by building my own. I have no idea how to do so, but I'm pretty good at computers so I'm sure I can figure it out. I want something that can play games like Battlefield 3 at maxed settings, but is that too much to ask for this budget? Currently my specs are as follows: *Pavilion a6750t from HP (slightly upgraded) -CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 -GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (Not exactly sure, but I believe it is the 5770) -RAM: 4GB (Yeah I know) -HDD: 582GB (And almost full) -MotherBoard: Asus IPIBL-LB (I think. Really not sure if I found this the right way) I think that's all you need to know. Actually I don't know if you need this at all, just thought I would post it. So what I need is help with finding the right parts to use for my new pc, including everything above as well as power supply, cooling system, case, and whatever else I'm missing. Thanks for your help, and if you need any more info just ask! -Brn360
