I have been playing GTA 4 a lot on xbox live and have heard many players say that San Andreas and Vice City were much better than the most recent installment of the series. I was confused because so many respectable journalistic outlets (such as gamespot) rated it a 10 out of 10. I know that ratings are very subjective, but i feel that halo 3 and call of duty 4, though different from GTA 4 in many ways, deserved the same 10 rating given to GTA 4. Perfect ratings are not given out often and I believe that it shouldn't have been given to this game. I do like it a lot and play it often, but I wouldn't rate it perfect. To me GTA 4 is overrated.

Please respond, let me know how the gaming community feels about GTA 4 and the rating system used by many gaming publications.

completely agree with you my friend.. this game does not deserve a perfect score.. there are plenty of things that aren't perfect worthy.. it's only because it's gta.. I like the game don't get me wrong but call of duty is a better game.. I won't spend half the time playing this vs call of duty..

So your opinion determines everyone else's as well? That's pretty narrow-minded if you ask me.

I completely agree with tc. The game lacks a lot. The gameplay is not entertaining. the controls are lame, the multiplayer though at times can be okay is slow and cuts me out. the graphics aren't great.

Come to think of it. Nothing about this game is as good as people say it was. I find it to be one of the worst actually.

I like the GTA games on the Playstation better, so I'll pick it up for that when I get one. I'd rather just fully enjoy it without the achievements because imo they make you rush the game just to get a few points.Strife88

Ya I guess you don't like additional content and features only for the 360. I used to prefer it on the ps but I don't like the controller and can't trust the online with ps3

I don't care for screenshots. I jsut want to see it live and in the flesh.. Sony, step up and actually do everything you have promised us.. This is a joke;.

You know what feels really good? Owning a PS3 (80GB), 360, and a Wii.darkface

I feel ya brotha.. I don't know what the hype about hte wii is.. To me, it's nothing special whatsoever.. They talk about innovation, Bull@#$@.. every game plays the exact same.

I can't say that I feel your enthusisiam.. Blu Ray won.. whoppy, it's not even that worthy of a jump. Watch lord of the rings se on regualr dvd and then watch any blu ray movei.. There is NO difference. Most of the games are coming out for both consoles, so no advantage there. As for MGS, GT5, these, for me, have been mediocore at best. Online is free for a reason, it is terrible.

All in all, sony needs some really good and NEW exclsuvies which sadly in my opinion, they don't.. GT5 will be good but I hope it's not as big as a dissappointment as GT4. GT3 was awesome though.

I am looking forward to Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, GTA4 and others.
