I hate online connected games, I play online occasionally but for the most part I play single player or multiplayer with friends on my couch, the fact that they want to forced all time connections is stupid in my opinion, not everyone has a good connection, not everyone like people joining their games and not everyone like having a game go dead when the servers are down, say my Ghostbusters game was an online only game, I'd be outta luck because it's servers are down. Thats why I hate this idea, also I just want my game console to be a GAME CONSOLE, nothing more nothing less, nowadays game consoles make gaming secondary to all of its "social features" and stupid services, dont get me wrong I have netflix but I dont need it on my PS3.

but for real some of them in 4 were ridiculously long, like the end took forever and after each chapter there was like a 40 minute cutscene

Man I can't wait for this, theres a good way to avoid the controversial just don't by the game if you dont agree or like what you see. I'm glad Kojime is more set on creativity than sales, this is what we need, the video game market is drying up and becoming bland and stale for the sake of money which of course should be the main goal but not many developers go out on that limb for the sake of creativity, they play is safe with their space marine shooters, COD and its wannabee clones and they overdue the presentation while leaving much to be desired for gameplay.

Metal Gear is my favorite game series and I cannot wait for this and 5. I for one will get these games release day.

@gutsallover I felt the same way for awhile but little by little I grew to like the Desmond story, but for the first 2 games I thought why not just keep this in the realm of Altair and Ezio?
I'm hoping they eventually work up to a full fledged modern day Assassin's Creed game, I think that would be awesome, but I still like the old World War 2 possibility.......
