Some of what he said may be true to a degree in a small percentage of people, but what most politicians fail to realize is that a video game can also be a punching bag of sorts that keeps a similar percentage of people from actually acting out violently in reality. I've never heard any of them mention the potential of this offset when discussing these hypothetical negative impacts on society mainly because they are politicians and not behavioral scientists. I suppose it is simply too easy for those with authority to demonize a product instead of shouldering any responsibility whatsoever for what sort of loons their broken societies and malicious policies are churning out. Good luck selling the blame game Mr. Clegg.
I'm not hopping on the marketing generated "end of days" bandwagon for the current consoles. Truthfully "next gen" doesn't look good enough to warrant getting rid of my current systems. I'm still going to play my both my xbox360 and ps3, probably more now that the games are getting cheap.
Why would I shell out for another system when all the stuff I thought about picking up will be cheap? For slightly better graphics and weird new restrictions? The reason why the stock took a slight dive is because there is just nothing really compelling here to be excited about...
@puukusa @blackmagicmarkr I know what you are saying, I have three here and one at my gf house. But that will not be the case for ps4. You will lose all of your purchases. They haven't found a solution to the best of my knowledge. Look it up. You will start from scratch on ps4.
@puukusa @blackmagicmarkr @telaros it works now because it is the same machine. I'm not a sony fanboy, I love my playstation but I buy mostly used stuff and games off of psn. I know how the redownload thing works.
