Know what sucks? I got my 360 on release day, worked perfect then got RRoD... Took it to the store where I got it and exchanged it. The new one RRoD'd. Turned out to be the lame intercooler I had on it. But too late to get my old one that was awesome. The new one RRoD'd, and the one they sent me after that RRoD'd. The one I have now gives me dirty disc error 5 times a day on perfect discs.
I would have to say gameplay, but I honestly wouldn't buy a new game if the graphics were terrible. I mean, there aren't any current games I can think of that are REALLY good that have terrible graphics. Graphics are the point of sale to the customer. You see them on the back of the box with a little story, but you can't examine the game play. I have hundreds of retro games that you could say have bad graphics (by today's standards), and I still play those a fair amount, but yet I wouldn't buy Goldeneye if it were released today at with a $60 price point. What I am trying to say, and not doing well at it is that the days of really awful graphics are pretty much over anyway, so if something has great gameplay it's almost a given that it has at least passable graphics.
Just thinking back to when I was a kid and it was a rare and exciting thing to get a game. Usually x-mas, b-day, and maybe easter. I probably got five all year, but this thread is for only THREE! I always had to think long and hard about what game I wanted since the next was months away (besides rentals). So if you could only get three games, that either have been released, or coming out for the holiday, what would they be? (can be on any system) I will say... Batman Arkham Asylum (I consider this game to be the best so far this year, so good pick for me) CoD: MW2 (I know Halo looks good but I'd have to stick with the one most ppl would be playing for an online game) Assassin's Creed 2 (Looks too amazing to pass up)
Yeah, you guys are overpricing this used stuff very high. The 360 and PS3 both had recent price drops. That's why I said around $70 at Gamstop if you are lucky. About $200 would be what you will get from other sources, seeing as you have a game and an accessory.
