I have to say I never try any other VR solution as most likely most of ppl around , since you know ... it is not "reachable" so I have no prior experience in VR or any reference to refer to .. I am just a gamer who want to try PSVR.
I have the PSVR for few days now ,frankly it is amazing !!! my home was like show case for the last few days , everyone excited to try the VR and everyone leaving after his first few moment surprised with the un-matched experience (sure , normal ppl like me who never experianced anything else)
it is soo good , your mind and body believe in it ... you start feeling the acceleration , you have that feeling in your mind when hang on a cliff or do a big jump (trust me , I am Hiker and I know how it feel to jump from a cliff )
normal ppl like me , enjoy every single moment even the Playstation World game loopy look amazing ..
the Kitchen demo left ppl speechless , and it was one of my best moment in RE game ever (I played them all by the way .... since the beginning )
all other little or big thing (Ocean decent , until dawn , REGS)
even the sickness you feel in Valkyrie feel awesome .. what you expect .. it is first time I try to flay such machine ... (I remember the sickness I had when flay with glider pilot or ..when I did my only till now Skydive in real life)
PSVR convince your mind and body , it track you extremely well , the resolution issue it might bother you ..but you can live with it ... I believe gaming is not only about crustal clear graphics (no body reach that yet by the way) it is about enjoying , challenge , and good time.
so ... if you are wondering if the VR is for you or now ....
if you have a PS4 go try it somewhere ... no one else can really tell how it feel.
I did pre-order 3 PS4 so far , one for me, and 2 for my friends "as I am the domain expert as they see me in gaming :)" ... I am waiting for them to arrive
I got 3 pre-order for PS4 till now , one for me , and 2 for my friends :) it is great machine , sadly I am still waiting for it to reach my region ... I cannot wait untill I got my hand on it ..
my PS3 gave me the best gaming experience in the last 7 years, and games become better and better with every year ... I cannot wait to see how good the games will become at the end of PS4 time .. meantime I will enjoy my time during the decade with it.
@sammoth agree , I know in my case I am not going to like Kill Zone , but in general in the last few years it seem I do not agree Game spot reviews .. maybe it is a generation issue . :)
the launch titles alwase bad , it was even worst in the PS3 , I remember the only worthy title at launch was Metal Gear 4 , the rest was crap ... and the other games in general was not better than what we had with PS2 at that time, any way .. the time pass and my game collection on PS3 was my best ever .... for me .. I am waiting the PS4 launch and it the game lineup is amazing ... ass for the Kill Zone I did not like any of it is released before and I am not going to play this one
what I really care for it now .. I can finally play 64 FPS online games with BT4 "as we did on Resistance 2" ... and I had promising Massive Online games comming next , as for the graphics , it was great already in PS3 , what you really need to add is more space , bigger landscapes and more power to game develoers to create amazing games for us ...
frankly I think this launch is much better than PS3 launch event , and I am waiting for the days to pass to have my machine ...
enjoy the event , and do not forget , the best games never come with the launch event
it depend highly on the game , when there is new difficult level , I keep playing the game , if there is new main event I keep playing the game but I enjoy finishing games fast, and I do not pay attention to trophies
I finish all difficult level in Shooting game(Resistance ) , or in hack and slash (DMS, or GOW )game , but I do not care about upgrading weapons , or game trophies
I will play all possible scenario in Dragon age, each time it is a new game :)
I do not play uncharted or Assasen greed more than once
I play every single detail of Resident Evil , I just care to win in Silent hell , or in Dead Space
I will spend the first 100 hour in an RPG doing every side mission quest, get any possible upgrade but then I run fast to the game end
I play less online , but when I do I get crazy I played Demon Souls like 5 times , and Resistance 2 like infinite hours
I never play a game without a story , and I enjoy speed run through the game with high level of completion without being completiones :)
