I neglected the PS1 for as long as I could. I thought the 64's graphics were better; therefore, I thought that made the 64 a superior system. I quickly had that mentality dashed after playing some playstation games. And coming from the SNES vs. Genesis days where I owned the SNES--and frowned upon SEGA for their lesser quality graphics--I just looked at the playstation in the same manner. But the games spoke for themselves. They played beautifully, even if they weren't always the prettiest, they were just fun to play. I almost stopped playing my 64 entirely once we picked up a playstion.

We had pretty much all fighting games in our arcade back in the day, but I played Street Fighter 2 more than anything.

I had both 1 and 2 for the Saturn, and they were great games; however, there's no way I could ever justify paying that much unless you're a collector. I'd never pay that much just because I wanted to play the games again, because they just aren't worth that price.

Oblivion and The Orange Box. Gran Turismo 5 is probably up there, too; however I just haven't played enough of it to know first hand.

Top-down action rpg's like Baldur's Gate are great. Morrowind and Oblivion are two of my favorites as well.

Well, my favorite is Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, which flew over a lot of players' heads, so I just kind of accept that not many people are going to get out of it what I did. LOLDarkCatalyst

3rd Strike is my favorite fighting game--not my favorite game overall--but certainly the best fighting game I've ever played.

And more on-topic, I really don't mind if people diss my favorite games; we all have our preferences.

- New Half Life game

- Actually, other than that, this e3 is really looking great. There's all sorts of great games coming out, e.g. New Elder Scrolls; new Batman Arkham; new Twisted Metal; new Deus Ex; MW3; and those arejust a few that I'm looking forward to in the coming months. There's no doubt that we'll be hearing some exciting news this e3.

If I were to have my dreams met, though, it would definitely have to be a new Half Life game.

It looks good, but then again I thought Shadowrun looked sweet before it came out, too, and that game was rubbish. Could this be a shooter that looks different; plays different; feels great, etc.? I sure hope so; however, I'm not getting my hopes way up just yet.

Does anyone know if a demo is coming soon?

It honestly looks a lot like Section 8: Prejudice, obviously without the airdrops. The control points to capture, objectives set to each individual team.

Anyways, it seems like only engineer can accomplishment bascially every objective. Why be another **** You need medics obviously but why be a soldier or another ****....

firefox59

Im pretty sure soldiers are the only ones that can demolish things so there's that and of course the fact they are gonna be on the front line of battles which makes them pretty important. An engineer is more of a support ****and your really there to back up your team by building turrets and buffing ect, but i doubt they will be that great in general combat. Youve already admitted that medics are needed and an operative if played correctly will most like be able to change the tide of a battle. So id say they are all important in useful in their own way.

You should really wait until a game comes out before making statements like that. Until then its all speculation really.

Which statement did you feel was too strong? I've watched the videos they have put out. For evey objective the nice british lady says "only engineers can perform this task". Your right the soliders can blow things up but thats the only ability they have demonstrated. I'm just saying that if you get to an objective and your not an engineer your basically useless until someone else gets there who hopefully is the right class.

Yeah, but you can switch up your own class at any of the terminals that your team has control of. And I'm getting this game for sure. It's rated T and doesn't have a ton of cursing in it like most of the other shooters these days--well, except for the little kids over Xbox Live--they'll curse you down in a heart beat.

Uncharted 3 will be announced yes. (I'm secretly hoping) Sony will show "Twisted Metal PS3" or "Kingdom Hearts PS3".

Could also use Dec 12 to "officially" anounce PSP 2?

conistant

Twisted metal was already shown at E3.I am sure its Syphon Filter. It is one of the best games I played during the PS1 era.

And one of the worst; the series really took a dive after 1 and 2. Hopefully they revive it with some justice to the original, which was definitely one of the best of that era.
