Shockingly, even to myself, I had a blast. Sue me.

This culminates, illustrates, perfectly solidifies what I've begrudgingly feared and refused to accept for years: gamers are getting dumber and dumber.

@dark_harpy: How is it artistic to merely model a story off of what your fans want? Where's the creativity in that?

@dark_harpy: Still, to say that MP is forced is a bit unfair. Besides, as I've already stated, people act as if it's torturous to play it. So playing 20+ hours of the combat is somehow less fun WITH buddies and WITHOUT only slightly intelligent companions? Doesn't make sense. But Bioware and EA still win however because people bought it. Also, the community of COD-esque gamers would've been upset if ME had stuck with the more RPG type combat/story of the first game. So regardless, someone's gonna b**** about a video game's direction in storytelling/gameplay/art/everything. In all honesty, I feel more bad for those developers who spent days and days perfecting their baby only for their community to scold them for not designing an ending they were expecting. In short, people need to get over it I think. Because I am a very very happy customer and I'm not alone...

@dark_harpy: You also got punished in ME2 for not buying ship parts. ;) All I'm saying is people are getting WAY too upset about this. First and foremost it's a game. Secondly, the writers don't cater to gamers. They cater to the story lines THEY made. If you don't like it, don't play it. Simple as that. Thirdly, if it's not fun, than why bother playing the game? I play the game FOR the combat, I'm hooked by the story. Lastly, I will agree, however, with everyone that the From Ashes thing was bull s***. I suppose it's just depressing that there's such an uproar over a game that, in spite of all of its faults, is such a quality game.

Also, you can still get readiness on PRIVATE matches. So, you and only your buddies can help each other out with your separate campaigns. How is that bad? Like, AT ALL?

@dark_harpy: It's not forced though. And the combat is literally exactly like the SP but you have teammates. I don't get why people b**** about being able to play ME WITH buddies? And somehow because that's tied to get the best ending is a bad thing? That's awesome! I foolishly rushed in just to see what would happen. That's my OWN fault. My OWN choice. So now I'll do another profile to complete everything and get the good ending because I still want to play the MP because it's fun. Besides, I'd be up in arms IF it had to do with VERSUS mp. But, it's cooperative, and people still b****? "I can't believe I'm forced to play in a fun mode with my buddies (who are much better than your companions in SP, obviously) just so I can get the best ending. Woe is me." Gimme a break. People need to get over themselves and come to terms with the fact that sometimes businesses do business like things. And this time, I actually appreciated it...

@dark_happy: So they implement a MP that coincides with the SP (has that ever happened in a game?) and people get mad about that? I'll go though the series again and do what I need on ME MP to get the 'best' ending, and I think that's clever. You know why? Because it lends credence that Shepard is NOT the only one fighting against the Reapers/Cerberus/Geth. And it's not even versus too, which would have honestly been a BETTER marketing move than a simple horde setup.

I sincerely don't understand the hatred of this game for the ending... SPOILER Every choice in the game is neither black or white, and sometimes affects you later on and sometimes doesn't. Why is it strange that Shepard has to die to save all organic life? Did no one else think this would happen? He had to die! He is a savior! Shepard died so that (in my story) all organic life could live. That's heroic, and while I do really wish I could know what happened with my romantic interest (Ash), Shepard did what he was supposed to do from the beginning. I don't have to know what my surviving squad mates think; I already know they would follow me into the end. I'm not even sure who survived but that doesn't matter. As the Gamespot review explains, it is a game of sacrifice. So the fact that it's a vague ending is hardly surprising for me. While you guys b**** and moan about not getting the advanced "everything is rigorously explained" ending, I'll go through and play all of them again because I loved them. /rant
