But games are, and have always been, the property of the people who made them. Bullying aside, game buyers DO own the game. It's their story. When game creators break down this wall and resort to copyright law (which can be changed) to claim they'll do as they please, then there is a serious disconnection between the game maker and the players. The players have every right to complain about their experience and to make sure the story that they're experiencing is created with the most care possible.
