@Hastor: Toslink is used in communications to the point its basically never going away.
You dont understand something else if you dont see how a laser fiber optic standard doesnt have its uses today? There are entire switchboards that are only Toslink!
"I just don't get caring about audio and using Toslink" ... you should go to r/iamverysmart because Toslink first has been around since the late 70s\80s. It has far more uses than just for home audio. Lastly, good hardware (dacs, opamps, speakers) and a Toslink connection sounds better or as good as the best you can do today for gaming.
I personally think you just like hearing yourself talk.
PS: Shoulda invested into studio monitors because mine have lasted 15 years now and sound beyond stunning.
@notjm: I played through it twice and had a blast both times. I bought the second on release and probably got 50 percent through. I honestly love the first game. Have since it was released. Love the atmosphere.
@notjm: Thats because everybody hated on the best one (seriously, its not even close. 2 will give you cancer its so cringey) because of e3. This misled them to develop these crappy "hipster hacker" characters, which led them to virtually get rid of the night-time feel of the first.
These games are done. They shouldn't even have made 2. Let people discover the first on their own (like what has actually been happening) and move on to a new series.
@uninspiredcup: To be honest he is too good for Bond. He is clearly the standout of all the big names in the past decade, plus Cavill would make a perfect Bond given Uncle and Mission Impossibe.
@idakooz: Hey look another person in denial about VR!
Do you understand that ANYTHING can be played on a 5000 inch screen in a movie theater? There really isn't a monitor setup that compares.
I just got done with some Bioshock and it is indescribably incredible. Majoras Mask 3D with Citra with Stereoscopic 3D? You cant really get a better gaming experience, and that is the definitive best way you can play that game.
Do you know what the giant open world fields in Kingdom Come Deliverance look like on an enormous screen in a dark theater? Didnt think so.
Get a valid opinion first, stop sputtering out you are just gonna look like a fool when you realize you are totally incorrect.
And then Skyrim in FULL vr? Ive had VR for a year and it is STILL a magical experience every time I use it.
