Imho the only 2 stealth games ever made are Thief and Thief 2. Enemies had even a sense of "smell" (smell blood) and a mini camera behind their back to simulate the "breath behind the neck", followed somehow by a couple of the oldest Splinter Cell and the first two Tenchu. MGS, Codename 47, Deus Ex and so on are games where you MAY sneak around, but it's so simplified that the stealth part is an extra, rather than what the game is about. Hybrid games sell more than specialized ones, that's why no other game copied Thief's AI, while in many you can sneak behind idiotic enemies that turn around at fixed times. Waiting a minute for a patrol to leave while staying in a "dark enough" shadow is considered boring by casual gamers (Thief), while running inside a locker or under a table is simple enough to be considered fun by the same people (MGS). I've played 4 times Thief and Thief 2 because I love stealth games, it's the only way to play a real stealth game (even if Thief 1 was better I couldn't stop playing the sequel after finishing the first). In nowadays games you can do anything that looks cool, but without the pleasure of finding it challenging... "Cool! I went behind the Lord of Hellish Hell of Doom, I twisted his neck, then I stabbed him twice with my super cool weapon, then I cut him into pieces, then I set him on fire" by just pressing "square" or "Y" when prompted. In Thief if you are lucky you can incapacitate your target after walking quietly behind him, if you aren't your target is an undead and you'll just have to pass him without being noticed.

Fantastic show as always!

I'm fine with everything, if it improves our lives. If you don't want an augmentation because it's not pleasing to see, then it's not an augmentation for you and you shouldn't implant it.But if someone is fine with having "camera eye", then he should go for it.

This show is always really cool.

Mammoths -> definetly yes. We should start "reviving" all extinct species (please do the same for dodos). If it's a good thing to save near-extinct species, why shouldn't we "save" extinct ones too? About mammoths... clone them properly, the cheap way will lead to a new race and not to true mammoths.

Humanoid races -> why not? ""We"" may have aid their extinction (or maybe not) as much as we did with tigers and other animals. They are more similar to us, but they aren't human, to clone a really smart primate is almost the same thing.

Changing seasons -> while "reviving" a specie is interesting from the science/documentary point of view, risking to destroy our ecosystem (as well as specie) to get one of the least interesting GoT's features is totally sensless. Let's try with metamorphs, faceless men, giants, Melisandre's or warlocks' powers first.

@s4dn3s5 It would have all the newer characters in HD, but with like Morrigan in SNES definition (since Capcom decided NEVER to update some of DS's old models). ^^'I don't really understand why Capcom totally forgot DS.

I really hope devs make a great work with Deadpool. If the game will be at least decent Deadpool will boast about it, otherwise he'll probably storm "a mysterious realistic shooter company" and kill everyone with a nerf gun (in his comic books ofc)... for some wierd reasons the game suking would make a great Deadpool issue...

I agree with the OP, but for a totally different reason.

Old consoles means old looking PC ports. I'm not dreaming devs will start to make great games, they'd be the same action adventure/realistic FPS with tons of DLC, short and easy games, but at least they'd be more graphically appealing especially for PC.

Mobile games sell for the same reason that crap games with cool graphics and load of advertising/fanboys (FFXIII?), millions of potential customers.Stagnation is the root of all evil in the current gaming industry.

Stagnating games, meaning few genres (action/FPS... and Square Enix should never use the word "new", they are still making games with a 20 years old combat system that was old when they made the 1st FF, they sell just because the words Final and Fantasy mean big bucks); stagnating ideas (almost all the top seller games have a number in their title), stagnating hardware (Sony and Microsoft earn way too well from their online stores to lose customers making a console that may or may not sell).

Most of this thanks to customers who buy whatever is advertised.

And to all people who doesn't want new consoles: who forces you to buy a new one if it comes out? Sony kept developing good games for PS2 for years after releasing PS3. The same thing did Nintendo with SNES and N64.

Considering that a new game (wich lasts for... 7-10 hours) costs 59 bucks and a console costs 200 bucks (make it 250-300 if you buy it right after its release) and lasts for 4 years I can't really see how can you complain about newer consoles.

Hardware stagnation is partially your fault.

@hazardousracerx The first part is just a guess... I could say the energy is turned into pink unicorns because it no longer falls within our understanding of physics. Maybe it fuels the Flying Spaghetti Monster... that's another option. If we don't know the answer to something, it doesn't mean we can give one we like and consider it true (usually that's called belief). The part about neutrino traveling faster than light was a hoax... the equipment scientists used was flawed. In 2012 further experiments proved that neutrino velocities consistent with the speed of light.About investigating... I can investigate if Barbie has a demon trapped inside, but this doesn't mean it has one.

@Napalm_354 AoC was a good game? When you could see your character completely erased by entering a bugged area (pvp area lvl 20-25, don't remember the name), when you had to 100% grind from lvl 30 to lvl 80? Maybe you are referring to where your class quest was bugged and you couldn't travel to new areas because of that... yeah that was a good moment indeed. Dungeons were pretty good too, monsters with 10 seconds respawn wandering around aimlessly. Then we could talk about creating your own spells, wich turned out to be total bs, about fps like shooting with ranged weapons, wich simply never happened... that game was more about what it should have had than about what it really had. There's only 2 good things in the whole AoC, the first 10 levels and character's visuals (wich I think it's still the best for an MMO).About TSW, the only way to know if the game is good or not is knowing how the endgame is (leveling requires a fixed time, endgame is what really makes an MMO). SWToR wasn't that bad till you realized that the endgame was a bad joke. I guess I'll wait for more info about TSW, reviews, endgame comments and so on.
