@chubby170: long load times have been a part of console gaming for two decades and still are to this day. This new one has a technology that basically eliminates them.
You’re all in this comment section comparing it to the improvements of previous generations. That’s just a silly take.
@chubby170: Using SSD is a fundamental leap forward in terms of loading times, and is not really comparable to the marginal improvements between previous generations. Really, it almost eliminates loading times.
Either you aren't aware of the difference between SSD and HDD, or you are just playing dumb. My guess is it's the latter.
Sony's win is good for console gaming. Sends a clear message that console gamers care about two things: price and performance (stifle your laughter PC gamers, we get it).
Even though XB1 arguably has better exclusives Sony was able to sell more consoles. That is a positive development. Nobody likes exclusives. The fact that having better ones didn't help XB1 win diminishes the importance of the "exclusives war."
I have nothing against MS. I owned both of their consoles before the XB1. And if their next console is better on price and performance I'll be the first to switch back from Sony.
@nl_skipper @WolfgarTheQuiet @daviz88 I agree. I've been playing it at my buddy's house and I didn't care for it much at first. But, after we got past the first few hours it really opened up and became a lot of fun. The weapons/upgrades are satisfying and well-balanced imo.
@IndridCipher Probably because that would be a lot harder, with hours upon hours of footage to sort through. But I agree. That's what I thought I was getting when I read the title.
