Actually if you use the campsite to travel to a waypoint, travel is not bad at all. Sadly I played through the entire story before I figured that out, up until then I was using the coach/taxi's at the nearest town, which at times left me with alot of horse travel. I completely missed that "tip" during the game and wouldn't have known, but someone pointed it out to me when I complained on this board.

At least I learned about the campsite travel in time for the "post-game" (i.e. the 15+ hours after the story I still took to get 100% completion).

Anyway Just Cause 2 seems fun, but based on the demo it doesn't seem close to RDR. The biggest complaint I read about Just Cause 2 is the story flat out sucks, whereas Red Dead is pretty fantastic. The gameplay seems about even, RDR is more "grounded" obviously, but Just Cause shooting mechanic felt very dated.

This. you can travel anywhere from mexico to east to west to north by putting a waypoint and fast travelling. Whats a pain about that?

One of my biggest peeves about the game was that Bill Murray sounds like he forgot that he was reading for ghostbusters, and not the latest jim jarmusch film.....

Hmmm..... Its a different setting altogether (space opera) and not nearly as open-ended, but how about Mass Effect?

I'm a Ghostbuster fan and while in no way perfect I thought Ghostbusters was a solid game with some great one liners. Worth it on the cheap imo.

This. And yes, the game is short (7-10 hours depending on difficulty). Do yourself a favor; dont play it on hard difficulty. You spend a frustrating amount of time getting knocked on your ass. It was definitely worth a rent or a "buy it used and return within a week" type of deal. Cool nostalgia trip, but probably not something youll be spending months (or even weeks) on....

This is nonsense! Movies have trailers, do they not? Games are in a different category, as the quality of a game is hugely dependent upon how it plays, and theres no way to show how a player will subjectively experience that without, well...letting them experience it.

If theyre worried about losing $$'s on demos, they should do one of two things. 1. They should make sure their games are great. A demo will bring way more profits in sales than could be lost via a demo. -OR- 2. Just stop making demos. Some fools will pay for them, then buy the game, but as others said, most of us will just rent it. Wayyyyy better than a demo anyway. Or, like I do, "rent" a used copy from Gamestop for a week, with an option to buy/keep. They (developers) would be losing out, though, as theres been more than one free demo that sucked me into buying a game I didnt care about before....

10s online is better, wayyyyyyyyyyy more people playing, the hitting physics is better, and so is the pitching. i sold 09, and bought 10, so its worth it to me for the best baseball game ever

I played the demo and it seems pretty great. Havent played a baseball game in years, so its fresh to me. I just dont want to buy it again next year if this is the way it works...

Its probably not this, but I hope its a new parasite eve game.... '
