Hmm, just like AzelKosMos said I think I dont need to add something about the topic here but I want to agree with TheLegendKnight in Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story were better games than Final Fantasy games, which are actually my top 3 RPGs. I look forward to see new unique and great games from Square Enix instead of Final Fantasy spin-offs, but it seems people dont want new games, though they dont seem they are happy with these spin-offs too. I think its really hard for SE now that they cannot see things clearly and cannot decide what to do.

I like single player so much more but sometimes I play multiplayer too, not so often. I really dont care if a console game has multiplayer or not, its extra feature its not something definitely exist.

i think you mean fighting games on Nintendo consoles only because playstation consoles have the best fighting genre since its debut. Tekken 3 was on PSX, Tekken Tag,4,5 on PS2 and now Tekken 6 will be on PS3. not to mention there are tons of fighting games on playstation consoles. for ps2 now i can list what comes to my mind;

Tekken Tag Tournament
Tekken 4
Tekken 5
Soul Calibur 2
Soul Calibur 3
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Mortal Kombat Deception
Mortal Kombat Armageddon
Naruto Ultimate Hero 1
Naruto Ultimate Hero 2
Naruto Ultimate Hero 3
DragonBallZ Budokai 1
DragonBallZ Budokai 2
DragonBallZ Budokai 3
DragonBallZ Budokai Tenkaichi 1
DragonBallZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2
DragonBallZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3
King of Fighters Maximum Impact
King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2
King of Fighters XI
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Marvel Nemesis
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Guilty Gear XX
Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore
Virtua Fighter 4
Bloody Roar 4

an the list goes on...

nintendo may not have many fighting games, but fighting genre is not killed entirely, its more than living on PS consoles

FFXII is absolutely fantastic. I loved how you have to plan your gambits and change them constantly. Everything you do is fun. The world is pretty big so you can end up in a dead end finding treasures, or hunt one of many monsters.

I actually thought the story in FFXII was good. The characters are cool, and I like how you can decide who is what in your party. The story is quite short but the hunts will keep you busy for a long time.

As for FFX, it was good when it came out, but I definitely wouldn't play it over FFXII. The story is huge, but not very immersive (to me). The gameplay wasn't bad for the time, but is quite repetitive and lacks strategy. I'd rather play FFVIII if I want a good story, or play FFX-2 for a more entertaining game.

really good post, my thoughts exactly.

[QUOTE="ali_kerem"]not really, like MGS2 Substance, MGS3 Subsistence has alot of extras, Snake Vs Monkey is the most famous one for example, monkeys are from Ape Escape btw. Changing cast of movies and watching them ( that was in MGS2 too ). I dont remember what was more now.jalexbrown

Snake vs Monkey was on Subsistence? I have Metal Gear Solid 3 regular (pretty sure), and I have Snake Vs Monkey on mine.

hmm I have subsistence pack and its on the second disc. you may be right but I'm pretty sure its on the second disc because I checked it just now.

Disc2 has;

Onlie Mode

Snake vs Monkey

Metal Gear ( MSX port )

Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake ( MSX port )

it seems Subsistence pack had only old MG games and online mode and online mode is now closed.
