[QUOTE="Avenger1324"] There is a limited period of cover. I don't know for certain but thought it was 30 days. Might be more though. Did the paperwork you got when your console came back from repairs say anything about it? Even if it was 3 months, unless your repair was at the very end of Feb, even 3 months would be up by now. :(

:( I'm pretty sure it is up, yeah. They sent no paperwork at all, except a "sorry, here's 1 month free gold".

If you send it outside of the warranty, it comes back with a one year warranty for everything. If it was still under warranty when you sent it out, and still are now, you're screwed.

Legendaryscmt
That would be brilliant if it was 1 year... I guess I'll call the service centre tomorrow. It was out of the initial warranty when I sent it away, but the 3 yr RRoD warranty covered it. It should still be in the RRoD warranty. They probably don't do 1 year if you had RRoD though. Thanks for your help guys. I wish I had done something about it when it happened now instead of waiting a month!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. My Xbox RRoDed in February, and I sent it away, got it back, and it worked til the end of April, when the ethernet port screwed up. Now, I'm absolutely certain that it's the Xbox, and that under normal circumstances, it'd be covered by warranty. Stupidly, I put it out of my mind because of all my university work. And so now Xbox.com tells me that I am out of warranty, which I think is surely incorrect. So my question is: How long do they extend your warranty after you get it back from RRoD? I'm certain they do, because I checked about a month ago, and I'm sure it told me I was in warranty. Is it 3 months? Does it cover regular failures? Or just further RRoD? I'd really appreciate it if anyone can answer any of these questions. I really don't want to pay for a repair. >.

JRPG's are boring. stories are crap, too much is done thru cut scenes. and hell, the gameplay sucks. that's what i play a game for, the gameplay. if i want a crappy story, i'll watch dodgy late night movies.

i was a little disappointed..... but it was pretty much because every game does not live up to the hype you build in your own head. i don't know what other game could hope to contend for GOTY.

B. Yeah, so Mass Effect sucked, get over it.destinhpark
that is an attempt at an objective statement, without really backing anything up. anyway. the game is underrated, but im not really sure by how much. i had an absolute blast while playing it, but i can see that there are faults. there were some disappointments, but i loved the story, and the art style. seriously the best fun since KotOR. easily. and it will last me as long, with a playthru every year or so.

people are saying "it might end up on 360 as well..." it won't. it'd cost too much, and really, i don't think it'd sell that well on 360. people just wouldn't be as interested. they *have* to sell enough quickly, they have no real other option.

i agree with what some people are saying.... developers do need to think up some better achievements. some are terrible. and too many games have achievements for finishing tutorial levels. or "buy all the *blank*", that isnt an achievement..... anyone can do it. it made me laugh when i saw the achievements for the Avatar game though, there are about five of them. as in, five achievements for a whole game. but you'd only want to play it if you know the series, and everyone who does knows the story of the game, so i guess they figured they couldnt put an achievement in for finishing it.

they make it smaller cos they want everything to be neater..... and you have to admit, it does make for a tidier HUD. but when the width of a line in a letter is one pixel, it is hard to read on SD. and if you get close, seeing the gaps between the pixels makes it harder still. be nice to have one, not necessary, i can get around it.

Oblivion is fun for a while but after a 20 hours of doing the same things over and over again, it becomes more annoying than fun.xsubtownerx
plus the combat gets repetitive and.... clunky feeling.

i dont think RRoD is as prevalent as it seems..... i dont know anyone in RL who has got it, and all my friends have the first builds, as do i. the only place i have really heard of it happening lots is forums like this, where people post when it happens, and which thousands of people use..... Mass Effect is REALLY good, but it's a hybrid rpg/fps, so if you arent into one of those it might not be as great. Halo 3 is awesome for online, less so for single player. Crackdown is really fun, but only really worth it if you have a friend to play with. Bioshock is brilliant, but only worth a couple of plays, because its so story based and linear. Forza is the best racing game i've played, but im not really into them, so *shrug*. the customisation is great tho. Gears is excellent, i think you should definitely at least rent it, every 360 owner should play it. it might not be for you tho.
