That line really pisses me off, and that's the truth, isn't it? It's like the lots of us begs and begs and rockstar just gave a big **** YOU to all off us.
This is the prime example of the things EA wants to do in the future. They said no more offline only or single player only experience. So they pushed coop into a horror games, and made them into action oriented game. Then they add in microtransaction.
I love dead space one, so does most of people who played it. It baffles me why can't thing just stay the same? he fundamental single player experience shouldn't have to change. There's a game for online experience, then there's a game for single player experience.
I mean, EA can't be that stupid right? They clearly understand why dead space 3 is falied right? right? Oh guess not. Imagine tOe future EA had in mind for this game. Dead space 4. Always online, co op shooter, mass effect 3 like multiplayer, action oriented Dead space. Human vs monster. Microtransaction for armor and guns. Map packs for 4 dollars. etc
To me playing a great game is like reading a good book. Some of that games were EA's own game like dragon age and mass effect. After a long day at work, i like to come home, relax, and play some game. I like to do things at my own pace. Discovering little things that a developer put their hearts into, like Skyrim.
I loathe MMO and online play for a lot of reason. I couldn't care less about achievement. Games' about entertainment, a way for us to take a break from the real world problem. An escape.
I really dislike the competitiveness of an online games. It's tiring. You can't relax in an online environment. There's just something that will piss you off. Take Dota for example. I do played it occasionally when i want some heart pounding action. But it's not something i want to do everytime.
Mass effect is the most amazing rpg game i've ever played. Because never a game that bring a protagonist to life as realistic and vivid as mass effect before. You grow together with the character you care about your companion. So does dragon age. How amazing is that? Could you do that in an online game?
In fact, the most successful games EA had that make the company as big as today is an offline only single player driven game. EA, you become a big company today, thanks to those games. Look at blizzard with diablo 3 and the new sim city. I've never touch those two games and i never will. I play game to find a little bit of happiness not rage.
What's wrong with start menu? Seriously, it's the thing we all use since 95, and they get rid of it, forcefully?
Typical Microsoft, forcing change without consent. unfortunately the community here isn't as strong and passionate as the xbox gaming community.
If it isn't broken, please don't fix it. Anyway i know for a fact that most people still uses XP for work stuff. Oh and i also laugh at gamer who had a problem running a game because of Windows 8. You sacrifice the ability to play game smoothly just because you want to look hip (to microsoft that is).
So if we took this literally, the size (in GB) would be: 22,5gb (enhanced edition) x 35 = 787.5 GB That will broke the world record for biggest game size ever. What's the biggest single game size right now? is it max payne at 27GB?
I hope it would still be $60 cause who knows how many blu-ray disc it would take? Or if you're going digital, enjoy your game after a week of download.
