How is it an exclusive release would benefit them in terms of sales? For example the RE ip which is one of the most famous game franchise, were released on all platform and still doesn't meet the expectation.
Multi platform = More people buying = more money

Yeah, i understand the optimism. The argument that eventually it'll come to PC is very compelling, and really wish that were true. I mean it's logical right?
But why only rockstars game, i mean Bioshock's Irrational could do it too. It's a very popular games among pc gamers, they got a lot of hype. if they released it on consoles first then port it to pc (or just hold it back a couple of months) wouldn't they made more money that way?
Or SCEA with their signature games like Heavy rain or The last of us? Sure Sony wants to sell consoles, but after couple of months when the excitements gone, wouldn't it behooves them to port it to PC to make more money?
See that argument really doesn't work cause as a PC gamer there's a lot great consoles only game that i wanted to play, which i'm sure millions of other PC gamers wanted to play as well, such as Gears of Wars or Heavy Rain or Killzone or Uncharted or Infamous or Final fantasy after 8 or Metal gear solid.
Those games will made profit because they're very famous games, and they're very good. I'm sure of that because of Mortal Kombat came out after couple of years still make a lot of money.
RDR had made me a very pessimistic person when it comes to Rockstar and PC. They had been very unprofessional about these. They fully realize the extend of enthusiasm from PC gamers, (it's now around 400k signatures now). Either says it'll came eventually or NO, Never.
