@Vanine_28

I strongly agree. With the exception of Kevin VanOrd, there is not a single decent reviewer left on this site. And to think Gamespot once was ripe with talents like Greg Kasavin, Jeff Gerstman and Brad Shoemaker(to name a few). Such a shame...

I went to bed hoping that the reveal event was just a bad joke, and nothing else. That Microsoft, in all its hi-def glory, would unveil the true reveal the very next day, gleefully taunting our collective gullibility whilst showing off the marvel that was the "Xbox Pure". A console made up of love for its core gamers. A console that embraces the love for video games and the culture it's built upon. A console that focused on its legacy, rather than being a geometrical offering to the mighty Mammon.

I woke up not only to have my nightmares confirmed and relived in great detail, but now it's like my nightmares has unlocked bonus content while I was asleep. The buzzwords hits me like morning dew made up of pure Ebola: "used game fee", "always on"(yeah, like we believed you anyways, EA) and the ever funny "Kinect-on-Crack", that will make your former privacy seem as transparent as the poorly veiled, ill intent coming from Microsoft itself.. You know, like the love you once professed to your favorite console, only to have it relieve itself in your face...and then demanding a gazillion dollars for a DLC-tissue for you to wipe your tears and shame with.

**** you, Microsoft. **** you all to hell.

@MrMan2000 You've totally missed the point. No one wants to rob the families of their quality time. We're just tired of seeing various lobbyists demonizing video games as a form of scapegoating to further their agenda.

@hotdiddykong 2012 was a great year for gaming? A year chock full of endless sequels and rehashes of of old franchises, with a few gems tossed into the mix for good measure. 2011 was a great year, this year was just one let down after another.

@zyxe I have read the article, and seen a few of her other videos as well.My main gripe with her, and others like her, is this sense of entitlement. Like when she commented on the movie "Sucker Punch" and droned on how it wasn't "empowering towards women". It's like every game developer, film maker etc. has to make it their main objective to make sure that women like her doesn't leave the theater butthurt for not getting their daily dose of "empowerment". And like the Youtube video points out, it really shouldn't be necessary with constant reassurement to feel good about them self. And if it is, I suspect their problems runs deeper than what can be fixed by fleshing out a few video games characters.

Regarding the link i put up, although she makes some excellent points I also totally disagree with some of the things she says, but that's besides the point. I think on a larger scale much of it it really does apply to this discussion. Also, I wanted to show the heaps of frustrated guys on this board that there in fact are intelligent women who think differently on these issues. The video where she talks about gaming specifically is part 4 I believe.

@biggest_loser How is that making it personal? By saying he's acting like spoiled brat? That was merely an observation, and the first description that came to mind.
