Maybe they are adding more content or polishing the game after what happened with SOT, they cannot afford to release a half baked game.

A good exclusive can be a system seller,I doubt crackdown will be as good but I like pleasent surprises.

Exclusive problem as of now is real for Xbox but backwards compatibility should be on every gaming console.Its pro consumer.

PS5 will be backward compatible with PS4...here I called it.

@RR360DD: standard cycle for developing halo,gears has been 3 years in the past. So halo 6 this year and gears 5 next year is a realistic possibility.

Forza games are released annually for quite some time now,so forza 4 is a given.

Crackdown 3 has already been announced for ages and after multiple delays should finally be coming out this fall.

Ori 2 was announced last e3. It might take 1-2 years for that to come out.

Last year's e3 MS announced no new big exclusives.

If this year also they say we have nothing else to show other than the above mentioned games than Phil Spencer should be fired with immediate effect.

MS will show

Halo 6, gears 5,forza 4,ori 2,crackdown 3.

These are big games but are almost sure to be shown on the stage,no surprises. MS needs to step up to match sony at this point in time. 2 surprise big exclusives apart from the above mentioned will surely have a positive impact.

All the above mentioned should have release dates b/w fall of 2018 to early 2020.

No need to show fable if it's 4 years out.

@tgob89: gears released fall of 2016 so I don't expect it to get a release date before 2019.

Halo's standard development time has been 3 years for the past games so there is a realistic possibility of Halo 6 releasing this fall.

As per new game development, wasn't SOD2,SOT, CRACKDOWN 3 supposed to release last year itself?

It makes absolutely no sense if Spencer has only recently started working on getting new exclusives. He should be fired if that's the case.

@hrt_rulz01: There should be something in development....last year's e3 they announced nothing new in terms of big exclusives saying that we don't want to announce too quickly...don't you think this year's e3 it's time for them to showcase something worthwhile and if they don't it just means they have given up on this gen.

Most importantly sod2,sot, crackdown 3 were all supposed to be released in 2017.

It would be totally stupid of Phil to not be working on some new games to announce at this year's e3.

Lets look at what spencer has achieved.....

Controller- xbox has 100 types of controllers in the market. Perhaps better controller in all 3 consoles.

Services- game pass,backwad compatibility,stable Xbox live etc. Xbox has a good case of having the best services.

Hardware- original Xbox one was a bad design but one s and x are both pretty good.Xbox is not behind any console.x is the most powerful console.

Still Xbox has not even sold half as much as PS4.

This gives a clear indication. 'QUALITY' exclusives matter the most.

Exclusives- from last 2 years Spencer has been hyping sod2,sot and crackdown 3.

2 out of 3 had mediocre reviews and the 3rd one looks like it will follow the same fate( I hope not).

This e3 should be all about announcement of big quality exclusives with release dates not more than 1- 1&1/2 year,no BS about anything else. If they announce different things other than big exclusives that will only mean that Microsoft has given up on this gen and Phil Spencer should be fired.

P.S it's time for Halo 6 to release this fall. Standard 3 years per Halo game.

If ps5 comes in 2018 it will flop atleast initially.

2019-20 seems the right time for next gen.

iam sure you have not played halo 5.the criticism the game got was because of its story narrative,lack of split screen but the gameplay is outstanding as usual.

Halo5 is an absolute blast in online mp & thats why it still has a great player base after 1& 1/2 years later.
