well i'd say the ps1 is the best console ever, cause of the awesome games and i still think its awesome and better than many others! If i had to choose one console to take with me somewhere it'd been the ps1 :) or SNES but still rather ps1Why the 3DS is he best handheld to me: the virtual console. I looove all Nintendo handhelds to death (especially the RPG's) and I still have most of my GB and GBA games, but the virtual console would be awesome for the games I've missed out on and are to expensive/rare/old for me to buy. (you have no idea how hard it was to find a saving pokemon yellow in New Zealand.) The 3DS looked amazing to me (the graphics look good even though the '3D part dosent apeal to me) But I found it a little expensive, but now its a done deal.
I am buying right away.

Do you consider medium-high settings decent enough? Cause that'd be pretty cheap i think. The most expensive part of my computer was the graphic card where i payed about 300$ give or take 10$ for the ati hd 5770, yeah hardware here where i live is pretty expensive. Otherwise all in all i paid very little for my rig, i was lucky with many parts (i bought from second hand at incredibly cheap prices, like 20$ for a decent chassi, ram AND processor, it was like an athlon 2 x2 265, its alright... worth the 20$ :P
but yeah so if ur lucky buying 2nd hand goods then sure u can get a good rig, but lots to take into consideration, i had to use an old motherboard for the processor, the power supply doesnt matter i guess as long as you get enough voltage, i had to get a new one cause of my graphic card, but everything works fine, could work with a better graphic card cause its kinda a waste of performance, but im gonna upgrade soon anyway, but yeah the only 2 things that i bought brand new was graphic card and power supply.
SOME products i dont recommend buying second hand like ram and power supply because in many cases they wont work, one of the 2 2gb ram i bought didn't work There're many ways to go, but how much are you willing on spending?
EDIT: just wanted to add that i could play games like borderlands on max graphics, cod mw 2 on high and some ultra, im playing new vegas now on pretty much everything maxed out, and there're no hiccups :)
Edit2:
- Motherboard
- CPU Processor
- RAM
- Graphics Card
- CD/DVD/Blu-ray Drive
- Hard Drive
- Chassi/Case
- Power Supply the eight essential parts for building a rig, of course u should get a nice screen too, but personally i think keyboard doesnt make a difference, but mouse might make a difference, got a logitech G9 got it like half price so i was like why not
