@karin_2049 You say an 8 or 9 is a fair score for Infinite, but what makes your opinion any more correct than Tom's, or anyone else's? In Gamespot score break down, a 4 means poor. Not unplayable. Besides, I hardly pay attention to the number score. I never said I agreed with the score, anyway. I said I agreed with his actual written thoughts about the game.

And what's that nonsense with your mentioning Bioshock 3? I realize it's not a direct sequel, but it's in the same series. Am I wrong to hold it to the same standards as previous entries?

And boy was it not for Infinite. You may have thought it was amazing, and who am I to say you're wrong? So you tell your friends Bioshock was amazing, and I'll tell mine I wasn't impressed. And Tom, who's job is to play a game and tell people what he thought of it, will tell his readers exactly that, and whether you agree or not is hardly relevant. He did his job. He played it, wrote down what he thought and explained why.

Look at Kevin's review just a click away from here. It's a 9, so Kevin agreed with you. Tom didn't. What's the big deal? It's all opinions here. Tom's speaks to me, Kevin's speaks to you. Why do people make such a big deal about this?

I disagree. He isnt trolling. If he was, he wouldn't have been able to support his opinions with examples, which he does for each and every one. I, too, was a huge fan of the original Bioshock, and I find myself agreeing with Tom in many of the points he makes. Booker was as shallow as they come. He was a mindless killer completely contradicting the guild-ridden poor soul they tried to make him out to be. Beyond him, too, the plot itself was riddled with plot-holes. Remember when you spent an hour or two finding a blimp to escape, yet you destroy one on the way? That's just 1 example. And the ending? What an absolute mess. Tom put it gently, I think.

No, I don't think Tom was trolling at all. He's speaking for another group of gamers, the group that went into Bioshock Infinite looking for something more than a mindless shooter with "magic buffs". I mean, the shooting was fun. Maybe not the most "intricate" or whatever, when compared to games DESIGNED to focus solely on shooting, but one couldn't deny the game was fun. It just wasn't... Bioshock, in my opinion.

When Borderlands 2 was released, it was of decent length, it was of quality gameplay and it improved upon its predecessor in every way. It pleased alot of its fans. Then came the season pass, which promised 4 story-based dlc's for the price of 3. These extensions were also of decent length, considering their price, and they added some new enemies, new areas, and new 'raid' bosses. Those were all additions to Borderlands 2's original game. Add-ons. Meaning... more. Gearbox is a company, and companies need money in exchange for the time and resources they put into a game. EVEN AFTER THEY'RE RELEASED. I agree with most of the dlc and penny-pinching woes circulating around the gaming scene as of late, but I don't think Gearbox is slighting us at all. They didn't release a half-finished game, charge us full price and then make us pay for the other half with shoddy DLC. They're supporting a game they've already released with new, quality content. As for the level cap, it took time to re-balance everything. I've wondered that myself, how/if they'll keep Terramorphous and all the other raid bosses relevant to higher level players. They have to change some things obviously to make sure players aren't just mowing everything down with ridiculous ease. Again, the season pass promised 4 story-based add-ons. We're getting FOUR story-based add ons. No one said there wouldn't be this and that in between. We'll still get our fourth DLC. Nothing is changed. This add-on here is a class and a level cap. Why the hell -wouldn't- they charge for it? Sure it'd be awesome if they could offer it for free, but to bitch about it when they don't? Come on! Clearly this is caused by the bad taste left by all the other companies who abuse DLC and micro-transactions, because this is nothing new, nothing shifty. It's business about a game that already exists. To think they'd keep releasing new content so long after its release... for FREE is silly. To complain when they charge is just whiny. So far, I've enjoyed each and every one of the DLC's. I paid sixty dollars, enjoyed the game I got immensely, and am enjoying that they're supporting it with new content.
