The issue with what you're saying isn't whether or not the missions are repetitive like quests in an MMO. I say this because an MMO can and would most likely (like WoW) fix these issues in patches for free, not release $15-$20 DLC and say they fixed it. MMO's run off of a different system where you don't pay a monthly service and pay for patches. Consoles now run off of this formula. MMO's you may pay a monthly service and pay for entire expansions. If Destiny fixed this issue with free content patches I think the community would rejoice, but we all know how they will be fixed, if they are fixed.
