I'd love to see how they'd get no load times in a terribly optimized game like the Sims 4. If you have a large mature save file, you can easily expect a load time up to or longer than a minute.
Load times ruin so many games so I'm actually hoping we start to see the end of them and this includes PC... far too many games even now take long to load even with an ssd and fast cpu.
Feels expensive... but if you compare it to getting a new high end video card, its actually cheaper than that even, these consoles really can't cost more than 500 usd because when you start getting higher, even a console gamer may decide a PC makes more sense.
My gtx 1080 was around $850 Canadian when I bought it... which i guess would be around $600 usd if you converted it to that.
But even saying that, I haven't bought a console since the xbox 360... I'd rather spend a bit more and have an unlimited upgrade path like you have on PC instead of fixed hardware.
haah, that face on the review thumbnail is the same one I made last Christmas when I ate too many chocolate almonds and spent most of the week on the toilet.
so nice to see all these developers donating money. At this rate racism will be solved by the end of the week and cable news will have to go back to the coveed coverage.
This doesn't surprise me much; it's been a buggy release so far for this patch. The initial patch made it so you couldn't even load your old save files... this was fixed fairly quickly luckily in a smaller patch just the other day... we will see if any other game breaking bugs come up.
I'm waiting a bit to make sure its safe to play the game, don't want to have it mess up a save file and have to go back tons of hrs to a backup just from more of their buggy patches.
Sims 4 is a game you really gotta be obsessive about backing up saves, so much investment in them plus EA has released updates before that have even corrupted them... back a bit over a year ago the Lin-Z Smart Speaker item would corrupt save files if you used it... took them almost a week to fix it, totally dangerous and ever since I been more careful than ever with my save files.
Can't ever rush into a new DLC anyways, usually have to wait a bit for any scripting/UI mods to be updated... luckily basic cosmetic mods are usually immune to any problems from update to update.
