I'd love a code just to be able to play - went to two different Subway locations near work today and neither one had any codes!

SirAlfonzTan - Can I ask what brand/model that display is that is showing your temps for processor, video cards, etc? Very cool and I'm shopping around for one of those for my rig right now. Thanks. Also, terribly dumb question but how does it read those temps? Does it have it's own temperature monitoring pieces that come with the display or what?

Finished L.A. Noire a few days ago, it was ok. I don't regret the purchase but I wouldn't put it on a list of favorite games.

I have a 120GB drive and have only used about half of it. I don't really have much onmy HD besides installs of my most frequently played games. I would think you could easily get by on a smaller HD, it depends on what exactly you plan to use your 360 for. If you are simply gaming and installing a few games at a time then you shouldn't have any problems.

My biggest reason to buy Xbox Live Gold is to actually play games online with folks, since you can do that for free with PSN I don't have a huge reason to sign up other than I can hope extra revenue would be used to add new features to the service. It's only $50 a year and since I support PS3 I may sign up just for that reason.

Yep both with PSN and Xbox Live I only use pre-paid cards. I know if you give Xbox Live your credit card information you have to call up and wait on hold to talk to a live person to cancel your subscription, what a hassle - not sure if the new PSN Plus is like that or not.

Katsumi gets you another playable character along with a pretty decent quest so I'd say that one is worth it.

[QUOTE="Xian83"]Yep I did read they estimated a $100 million development cost but let's think, WoW conservatively has 10 million people x $15 bucks a month = you just paid for the whole development of The Old Republic in one month. Sure you have to consider it cost money to run the servers and pay the support staff but after a couple months you are golden.KC_Hokie
The cost is well over $100 million. You then have to divide those profits between EA/Bioware and Lucasarts. You also have costs like advertising. They are taking a huge risk even if this game turns out to be good but not great. This game has to be great to make any sort of substantial profit.

I agree with your point, it will have to have a ton of subscribers to be great. Your point is also true for any other non-MMO, there are still publisher / advertising / etc. other costs that eat up the profit margin. I just assume that BioWare + the Star Wars license will generate a lot of early sales for $50 or $60 each along with at least a few months of subscription for all of those folks - I'm anticipating a hit is all I'm saying.
