For some reason I'm actually looking forward to this. I'm by no means a hard-core Zelda fan, and I suppose it would be nice to see Link in a different setting other than the same ol' same ol'

I think that if it was going to suck then 'tendo would have left the gameplay mechanics the same but would not dare to make it zelda related.

there really needs to be a way to improve the AI. I think that developers should get a team to go through strategic assault training or something and use that to improve how they think about AI. It doesn't have to be too intense. It could even be something similiar to studying the Punic Wars. I can't think of a better general than Hannibal.

The tactical thinking that wins wars in overwhelming odds would be a good start to all of this. The significance of holding the high ground, the strengths and weaknesses of different formations, the use of natural terrain and obstacles, and the use of supression fire.

It's so easy to see the pattern of fire and only pop out to get off a good head shot and move on. I want to see an enemy who waits for you to pop out and then fires.

Dude, they don't need any training. They have been making games for decades and are fully aware of what it takes to make enemies that use tactics. It's just that they choose not to focus on that, and I can only imagine it's something to do with 1)time (which is money) or 2) Casuals wouldn't notice decent AI or it would scare them off.

The AI has been a joke. Oh yeah, I forgot that nintendo doesn't want us to have good AI.

Speaking of gameplay, the fighting sucks.. the enemies have no personality with zero AI (basically the enemies just come straight at you every time). The bosses & "special" enemies are ok though, and most of those fights lend themselves to typical "find the weak spot" attacks. not innovative, but at least its better than the normal enemies.MrEpyx

I agree with you on this. People go on and on about the wii's crap graphical capabilities, yet so little is said about it's REAL problem -- dirt-poor AI! The enemies are mainly critters rather than thinking beings which can use tactics. It really takes away from the immersion.

I'm getting an 360 soon and I just want to know whether to get the premium or the elite. The elite is 50£ more expenseive and does not come with a game. The hard drive is much bigger than on the Premium, but....

I don't intend on buying any Live Arcade games, so is the elite really worth it? Forgive me if this is an obvious question, but I wasn't around last gen.

Snaking IS cheap in the sense that it cheapens the game. It makes weapons and items almost completely useless, and that's the character of MK.

I hope 'tendo at least makes snaking less effective, perhaps by putting in more traps/obsticles on the track.

[QUOTE="Ponmop"]Yeah, my strategy is to go to IGN for reviews, and GS for the forums.skingus

Great strategy. I adopted it a long time ago, with many others.

I'm guessing because IGN has forums that you have to register just to view?
