I'm trying to decide what I should buy. I used a guide to build a computer and came up with this. It'll total to around $1500. The other option is a prebuilt computer for around the same price. It looks like the prebuilt features a better graphics card, however the build I have uses two graphic cards. Thank you so much! OPTION 1: MY BUILD 1. CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 Quad-Core 3.3-3.7GHz Turbo 95W $210 2. Motherboard: ASRock Extreme 4 P67 Gen3 $160 3. RAM: Patriot 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz$60 4. Power Supply: Antec HCG 750W SLI/CF/80 PLUS BRONZE Certified $90 8. Case: NZXT Phantom, in White $120 9. Cooling 1: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus $28 10. Cooling 2: Silverstone 2Ball .8k-2.4kRPM 110CFM 17-40dBA fan contr. $17 11. Sound:6 or 8 channels sound card: Integrated on the motherboard FREE! 12. I've been waiting forever to get a 360 and wanted to wait till the Falcon chips were being placed in 360s. But when I went to look for 360 they were all sold out. When I went to Best Buy however, I was told they were discontinued and they hadn't even gotten a shipment of 360s for months....any confirmation?? :-(

Sorry for the double post but I found this:

Microsoft has plans to release a revision of the Xbox 360 (codenamed Falcon), solving hardware problems, like the "Red Ring of Death" and overheating, which can damage the motherboard. This revision is said to feature new CPUs and GPUs that are manufactured in a 65nm production process (as opposed to the older 90nm processors in current models), reducing power consumption and heat dissipation. Much of the high price of the Xbox 360 comes from the older processor design. Any Xbox 360 manufactured on or after August 24, 2007 contains the new Falcon motherboard and 65 nm CPU.[9] This information is on the cardboard box label.

Unfortunately I found this at Wikipedia so don't take this as fact.

I've been planning on getting a 360 since June but backed away when I heard of the common RRoD. I've heard that the failure rate was 33% but didn't Microsoft say that all 360s were defective? Anyways I've been playing past gen games long enough so I'm just going to take my chance and get a 360 this December. I thought the Falcon Chip was supposed to fix the rrod and then all the sudden I'm reading that it's not???

AlsoI wouldn't take anyone's statement here as fact. There are so many things that contradict one another if you compare the posts that have been made in the previous weeks. All the "facts" are just rumours including the failure rate I mentioned above. I have no idea how'd u find out for sure what's going on with the 360 but just be cautious of the statements being made here. It'll be what 2 years since the 360 came out this december? I'm just gonna take my chance and get it since there will probably be a price drop or maybe some sort of deal. I don't have a single next gen (unless you count portables: DS and PSP) so in about 3 more years I'm sure there'll be the announcement of the next-next-gen (new consoles are introduced every 4-5 years aren't they?) and i don't want to miss out on this gen of gaming.I can't imagine Microsoft going into 2 years with defective Xboxs but thats just my opinion.

So despite the fact that the Intel Core 2 Duo has only 1.73 GHz it'll run the games the best? How come?

I'm currently deciding on getting a new laptop and I found 2 decent laptops. One's AMD and the other Intel. I'm just wondering which is the best processor in terms of AMD, Intel and which is the best overall. Thanks!

The AMD Processor choices are:

AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TK-53 (1.7 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache)
AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-56 (1.8 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache )
AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-58 (1.9 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache )
AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache )
AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-64 (2.2 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache )

with a graphics card of Nvidia GeForce Go7200

And the Intel Processor Choices are:

Intel(R) Celeron(R) M Processor 520 (1.6 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
Intel(R) Pentium(R) dual core processor T2130 (1.86 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2450 (2.0 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T5300 (1.73 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)

with the graphics card of Nvidia GeForce Go7400

What I really don't understand is that the Intel Core 2 Duo is the most expensive one but has only 1.73 Ghz...
Also the games I intend to play are WoW and Guild Wars which have the reccomended specs of:
WoW: Intel Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz
GW: Pentium III 1 GHz or equivilent

That's why you buy the Best Buy PRP Warranty. :P

Wasn't there alot of discussions on the Best Buy Warranty being flawed? I'm also wondering on any news of the 65nm (only thing stopping me from getting one!)

Actually you can get a data migration cable free from Microsoft! I stumbled on this awhile ago:  http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm  At the very bottom there's a link on how to get it.

Personally it seems like an ok game. Course I was never into those war-zone first person shooters. However I will admit, compared with all the war games I have seen, this is the only one that I'm actually interested in trying out.
