Not meaning to sound disrespectful but one of the things that I originally liked about the Xbox franchise was that it kept the majority of its Windows staff and Xbox team separate. I always thought that synergy between the two teams was important but that they should be kept separate. At the risk of sounding rude but being honest, I don't feel that the Windows guys know enough about the gaming side of things to properly represent the interest of the gamers. I couldn't see putting a game developer in charge of making Windows. I think that might be why the Xbox Entertainment/Console franchise might have hit such a low with the Xbox One and MS understanding the importance of Indie developers. I could be wrong but the facts speak for themselves. I haven't felt good about the Xbox One since E3 and it's been hard to get myself hyped about it with the way MS screwed promoting it up. I'm still bouncing back and forth on deciding to get one and that's not good. They don't need too many suites making all the decisions as they aren't good at reaching consumers.

@AyatollaofRnR because what you see today on most consoles, all the graphical glitter and eye candy, started out like the games android presents you with. The only thing that truly makes Android/IOS games, Android/IOS games today is touch and having to be chopped into smaller pieces due to the devices mobile gamers have to play on. Imagine dropping battery/attention span barriers and looking at android as what it is---an open source OS that gives developers a great amount of versatility. All I can think of is the earlier days of Nintendo/Sega. The OS just makes it easier. There are a ton of amazing games out there on android.

I picked up my Ouya today and I have to admit that I was impressed. Love the size of the little console. I'm actually very hard to impress but I can say that the guys did a great job with the Ouya. It has some room for improvement ---not as much as some would have you believe, just a few tweaks--- but if given a chance I think that it might amaze even more hardcore gamers. I can say it's not just a tablet/phone rip-off attached to your tv. I own "Shadowgun" by Madfinger Games, and several other beautiful/ graphically intense games on my android tablets'/phone. But to actually have a chance to play "Shadowgun" on Ouya with a controller and optimized for my television made it feel like a totally different game. I have to admit I became bored with it on my tablets/phone --- the touch didn't do it for me. I'm hoping to see "Horn", "Dead Tigger", N.O.V.A. 3, etc. actually get similar treatment. These developers and the Indy developers out there could really make this little $99.99 console shine. As I said things aren't perfect but I didn't go in looking for a lot and came out very impressed with a few of the games I found/intend to purchase in the coming weeks seeing how inexpensive they are . These guys really love what they are doing with Ouya and I can tell they're doing it for the gamers as well as independent developers who need an outlet for creating some great things.

I guess buying both PS4 and Xbox ONE day one gives me a chance to start unbiassedly writing game reviews, etc. again like I did years ago. I haven't done so in a long time, always enjoyed the research and sometimes the deadlines. lol Gamespot thanks for keeping us informed. I've enjoyed watching you guys grow throughout your various changes as well as the changes in the industry throughout the years. Everyone out there in both the Sony and MS camps here's to hoping that this coming console generation will be truly unforgettable, but in positive ways for both the industry and us gamers. My only thought is "Let the gaming begin."

All I can say is that MS will also have helped the PS4 sales as well as have just increased the Xbox ONE's numbers again. I'd given up after E3 and ordered a PS4. I guess I will end up owning both on day one now due to this fiasco. Not complaining but confused. I would have eventually of bought a PS4 possibly as well but now I will probably only buy exclusives like Halo 5, etc on the Xbox One and everything else on the PS4 unless the games manage to differ majorly between the two----which I doubt.

@chaos-commander I think it's easy for some to accept things without truly understanding them for the moment. But the first time purchasers start having serious issues they will change their minds and become more vocal again. I have a feeling that their will be even more pissed off Xbox ONE owners/consumers out their after they realize what's happening---and I hate to use the word owners as it doesn't mean the same to MS and some people.

@malokevi @XAF1 Actually it does. When Sony's system broke down all gamers could were send them in for repair and pay $150 bucks or buy a new console. When MS's systems bellied up you could send them in for free repairs or to be replaced free of charge or buy another one which I wouldn't have if MS hadn't replaced the other two. And I 'm sure that you're a kid, so my responses end here. lol

@malokevi @XAF1 My response is please do. I would hope that all of use would but just be cautious after being burnt before. :-) It doesn't matter which console you buy just enjoy it. I know I will.

@malokevi Also I don't a PS3 but a 360 and have since day one of release. I'm just not bias to the fact. I only ended up buying to Xbox 360s the 1st model and the Slim Xbox 360 Kinect 250GB bundle model. MS replaced the 1st One twice. So I have had 4 Xbox 360's

@malokevi Doesn't work. Most Xbox 360s died after warranties were up and the issues was so bad that MS offered up a 3 year warranty. It was to keep from being sued as it became a major issue.
