@gunnyninja: I don't CARE about the link. I've been buying games through the Ubisoft Store for years. And I know that the only exception to the 20% discount is in-game currency purchases. If you want to be dumb and always pay 20% more than I do or always wait 3 months, just go ahead and be dumb. God forbit you would actually buy a new game and get the 20% off, because you tried applying the discount instead of spamming people's notifications with your BS.

@gunnyninja: I don't need the link. I'm not upset. You are not the only troll on the internet, there are plenty more to be found. And I've been browsing the internet for decades already.

@gunnyninja: You are nothing but a troll. The link I posted covers the complete story, and it's information from Ubisoft themselves.

For your information, I just checked my email. I bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 17-11-2018 from the Ubisoft Store, with the additional 20% discount. This brought the price of the game down to 32.15 Euros. Assassin's Creed Odyssey launched on 5 October 2018, so this was well within 3 months after launch.

@gunnyninja: It's just that I myself actually buy regularly through the Ubisoft Store. And it's almost always within three months of the official launch date. And I always take the 20% off, without issues. And it also works on pre-orders.

The page you took that information from is not up to date with the latest information. I feel sorry for you if you never get your 20% off, you could probably have gotten it for nearly all your purchases.

Please consult this page for the latest information:

@gunnyninja: "You can't use use club points on a new game. You have to wait 3 months."

That's false info actually. I've used the 20% discount from Club Units on new games or pre-orders several times already.

Here's the official info:

https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/Faqs/000025124/Getting-a-Ubisoft-Store-discount

It says you can't get the discount for in-game currency purchases. Sounds pretty fair to me. And that the discount MAY not work in conjunction with existing offers, discounts or with other codes. But I've actually used it on discounted games plenty of times already, so the key there is MAY. It does not mean that it never works.

@darkelf83: The link they give leads to this "The Division 2 will release solely on the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.", solely, not exclusively.

That's what the GameSpot Staff wrote. It's not official information. The official information is very, very different. What's official, is that there are PLENTY of official retailers for the PC version of The Division 2. Here are some of the official retailers for the PC version:

Amazon; GamesPlanet; WinGameStore; Razer Game Store; GamersGate; DreamGame; 2Game; Green Man Gaming; Fanatical.

The short list I provided above are just SOME of the retailers, there are plenty more.

Of course, if you buy the game on the Epic Games Store, you will download through Epic. And you will get the patches through Epic. If you buy the game through Amazon or the Razer Game Store, you download through Uplay, and you get the patches through Uplay. But that doesn't really make buying through the Epic Games Store more attractive in any way. I would much rather download and patch through Uplay. If you buy on the Epic Games Store, you will have to keep Epic's launcher running all the time you're playing, AND keep Uplay running all the time as well. And go through all the trouble of account linking. It's just not worth it in any way. What's more, there are plenty of official retailers selling Uplay keys. So that also means dozens of good sales for the game every year, as not every store has a sale at the same time. If you want to buy it on the Epic Games Store, it is only on sale for you at those times Epic puts it on sale. I haven't spotted a retailer selling an "Epic" key for the game yet.

"The PC version of the game, previously scheduled for Steam, will now come out exclusively on the Epic Games Store."

GameSpot, please don't write such nonsense on your website. The main store the PC version will be sold through is the Ubisoft Store. And there will be plenty of official retailers selling Uplay keys, such as Green Man Gaming and Fanatical. Those too are stores selling the PC version, GameSpot.

If I had to guess, I would say that The Division 2 for the PC would probably sell in greater numbers through Green Man Gaming, than through the Epic Games Store.

Buying The Division 2 through the Epic Games Store results in you still having to install Uplay, and the game requires Uplay account linking to play. You will always have to run Uplay whenever you want to play the game. So it's not really attractive to buy the game through Epic.

If you buy it on Uplay themselves, you can usually get it for a lower price than through Epic, since you can get a 20% discount for spending 100 Club Units. If you buy the game through Green Man Gaming, Fanatical or any of the other official retailers, you will almost always also get some form of a discount. Either a discounted game price, a voucher for a discount, or both.

Anyways, there's a pretty long list of official retailers for The Division 2 for the PC. There are also resellers selling keys for the game, but I recommend not buying from those, but buying from an official retailer instead.

@Grishrak: Nah bro. $700 for a card from AMD is about $500 more than anyone is willing to pay. Their drivers and driver software are not very solid you know.

@Grishrak: Really? https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/

Can you point me to the Vega market share in the Steam Hardware Survey? I cannot find it. I do immediately see the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080, which are in the top 10 most used cards. And the final position of the top 10 is the GTX 1080Ti. Not bad for such an expensive card, to still make it into the top 10. All other cards in the top 10 are from Nvidia as well.

Unfortunately for AMD, even the NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 at 0.15% sees more usage among Steam users than its Vega cards.

@timothyss10: AMD using less energy and making less heat?? Bro... educate yourself ok. I know AMD is going 7 nm but it will probably still consume more energy than Nvidia.

Also, AMD having good drivers already is an indefensible position. But saying that their drivers are better than Nvidia's is utterly ridiculous. AMD is one big driver hell. If you check the Steam Hardware Survey than 74% has an Nvidia card, and 15% has an AMD card. But most of those AMD cards are really old. Whereas most Nvidia cards in use are (very) recent.

Regarding your last point... AMD HAS TO give away those games together with its GPU. Nobody still wants to buy an AMD GPU for gaming. Therefore, to make the card more attractive they give away games with it. That makes the card slightly more attractive, but still almost nobody will buy it.

Will the card sell out? Possibly, yes. It will be produced in an extremely small quantity, and some people will buy it for non-gaming purposes. Add a couple handful of purchases for gaming, and its sold out.
